The person saying this definaty has not visited Abuja. Asokoro has come nice massive houses, and few nice areas but it’s usually empty and dry. Maitama is a better place than that.

Neighborhood overview

The Asokoro area is an attractive, highly developed phase 1 district in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. It is an exclusive, upper class neighborhood that houses many important local and international institutions.
Embassies and state house lodges are scattered all around the neighborhood. Nigeria’s Presidential complex known as “Aso Villa” and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Secretariat are both found in the district.

Other places of interest include Glamour Lounge and the National Children’s Park & Zoo.

Many of Nigeria’s high net worth individuals live in Asokoro including business magnets,
celebrities and top government officials. Despite being a primarily residential district there is selected commercial activity.
The neighborhood hosts several high-class shops and restaurants. A number of Abuja’s best hotels are also sited in the area. The district has often been described as Nigeria’s most desirable place to live in.

Getting around

Asokoro nears Abuja Central Area to the north west, Guzape to the south and Garki to the west. Major roads include Murtala Mohammed Expressway, Yakubu Gowon Crescent, Shehu Shagari Way and Ahmadu Bello Way.

Land and houses in Asokoro

The Asokoro neighborhood has excellent infrastructure. The area is very peaceful and boasts some of the nicest views of Abuja city. Easy access too many of Abuja’s important landmarks makes it a prime location. The area is one of the safest parts of Nigeria.
The district is an extremely popular place to stay for those with deeper pockets. Being an affluent district land and houses in Asokoro, like its neighbor Maitama, are among the most expensive in Abuja.

Depending on the purpose, location and size: plots of land can go for well over 1 billion naira. Homes in Asokoro are some of the most exquisite in the whole country.

Do you even know the meaning of PRECINCT?

Abuja is masterfully planned.

Whichever perspective you want to look at it, the relocation of Nigerian Seat of Government to Abuja is justified.

Imagine Lagos, with all its chaos and gridlocks, was still the Federal Capital Territory…

It’s just better imagined undecided

Still looking like a 6th world country capital in my opinion.

In decent countries, even South Africa, there are many places like this. Unfortunately for Nigeria only a few people enjoy such places.

Sandton in Joburg is fine and desirable but there are many decent places like it too.

Whatever you think but Asokoro is not a low place, it has the costliest real Estate in Abuja translating to all Nigeria because it houses the seat of power in Nigeria even though it is not the most beautiful in Abuja at the moment. This invariably rate it among the top in Africa, obviously not in beauty. You look more like the idiot to me

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Many of us today are fond of putting password/patterns on our phone which makes it difficult for someone to access it in the case of unfortunate situations like phone loss, sickness, accident or even death. But with this little knowledge I am going to share, perhaps we can save ourselves and the lives of others also.

STEP 1

When your phone is locked, it normally shows enter password. Under it, you will see emergency. Click on the emergency, then you will see emergency information. Click on the emergency information (2 times) You will see a pencil icon on your extreme right, click on it to edit.

STEP 2

Then enter the contacts you want to save as emergency. You can put as many contacts as possible but I advise you to save numbers of active people who know you very well (Family/friend).

Now these contacts you have saved can be called even when your phone is locked without entering your password.

NOTE:

To call a number under emergency, click on 'Emergency Call' and the numbers saved there will come up. You can call these numbers without unlocking the phone

A soul can be saved through this

FEEL FREE TO SHARE

You never know, your single share can save somebody's life...

Thanks & God bless you

Mr "Well travelled", Abuja is among the most beautiful cities in Africa. As a matter of fact, Abuja is only behind Johannesburg and Tunis in terms of planning and beauty in Africa according to Africa exponents, Africa's number one tourist explorers. Local people like you just come here to write rubbish because this platform is faceless. Zero travels, zero research, just daft internet warriors grin

Apart from Capetown and north African capitals, there is no where else on the continent as beautiful as Abuja.

Nigeria is poorly governed but truth has to be said.

They wasted our resources lavishly on Abuja.
