From my personal experiences, none of the care homes specified IELTS VI or general.
This is one example I've copied and pasted "Can you provide either a OET or a IELTS certificate". I may be wrong, but none ever specified among at least 4 experiences.

Nig DL can be used for 12 months in UK b4 u apply for their own.

Happy Sunday y'all, I am currently on a student visa that will expire in January. I came in September 2021 and I am done with class work and assessments, just working on my dissertation. I got a sponsorship job and the are ready to issue me COS to switch immediately. Please will there be an implications if I switch now? And secondly the care home is asking for administrative fee of £250 to issue COS. Please kindly help me clarify on the two issues.

Only if you're switching from a visa or applying inside the UK.

After paying the visa fee, it takes you to TLS website were you book your Biometrics and pay other fees depending on the service your choose. For me I chose VI and self service and I paid £55 with my Naira visa card.

Hello Zeb04, I hope you're aware that you mustn't use IELTS report for HCPC registration.
If you schooled in an Anglophone country, such as Nigeria, and your university degree was taught in English, and you speak it fluently, you can get an English Proficiency Letter/Medium of Instruction (signed & stamped) from your university's admin office or from your dept and use it for your HCPC registration. Cheers.
