My bank is giving me dollar in cash instead of pounds as PTA, pls how best can I get value for my money when exchanging?
Should I exchange at the airport or bring the dollars to UK to come exchange?

I hail everybody.

Pls who applied for Nigerian passport in the UK recently and how long does it take? I need a passport urgently, is it possible to use express and get it within few days?

Anyone with sure link, kindly help.

I know someone that went for his appointment on the 11/05/22 and got his passport posted 20/05/22. This is the standard 5 years . The 10 year one takes about two weeks.

Change it in Nigerian black market (aboki) and buy pounds.
If you take it to UK, you might have to use official rate.

Elders, I have come for advice

When I initially arrived the UK, I jumped on a care job. Domiciliary precisely. Few weeks into it, I decided that the suffer don too much and leave the job…I also informed the company. To my surprise, I was not paid on the pay day(monthly pay) I called up the company to complain but they said because I didn’t supply my NI and I have to wait for the next month pay day… no wahala, I waited , only not to be paid again! In fact they blocked my line (because I was calling to follow up) so I can only reach their voicemail

Please who do I report this to? I need to get my payment cos my naija self is thinking I should go and shout in their office (oshodi style)

Please I need advise cos when I remember the suffer wey I suffer trek from bus stop to client house still Dey pain me

Send email to HR, LM, every email you can think of and write something similar to this. Gather all your proof (timesheet, roaster etc) ready if this have to go to court. Na cell you go sleep o if Oshodi style enter grin .. . Don't miss out the bolded. It works like magic cool

'Sequel to our last discussion on so so date, please note that I have not been paid for my services rendered for the X days' work for the month of May 2022. I have called (and emailed) but nothing thus far.

It is the 24th May today and I have not received my payment. Please speed up the process so that I get my payment ASAP as this is not acceptable.

Please note that if my payment is not processed and paid on so so day, I will have no choice but to go through Small Claims Court.'

Did they ask you to take covid vaccine for work?

If this is just for travel then they scrapped any covid thing. You don't need to do a single thing

Thank you very much. However, the travel is to Nigeria and the website states that you are either fully vaccinated or you take a pre departure test. If one is to go for vaccination and the 2nd dose is taken less than 14 days b4 departure, will that be okay?

USed the online platform to search they include Zoopla, Rightmove, Leaders and many others. Set a notification on the very type of house you have so if any house that meets the status is added you will be notified and you can reach out to them. You might want to add may 10 or 20 Quid to the rent to stand out amongst those who came for viewing once you like the house. It works well and that's how i did mine.

unknownknowguy:
Hello All,

Guys who came in with their family? How did you get housing in London? Ant tips you'd like to share?

expecting my lil boy and wife soon and all these agencies keep rejecting my initial advances because of either over occupancy or because i have a kid. .
