Thanks OgaHR and everyone who assisted me…. I was quoted £400 each at the auto center I took my car to, I told them no I can’t buy 4 injectors for £1600, else I will add money and get another car… So following the advice I got several quotes through Ebay for £150 each, which means buying 4 will cost me £600 as opposed to the auto center £1600… I will be going to the scrap yard by 2 pm to see what I’m paying for myself, I will have it tested and if it works fine I will pay asap….

My drive time to work both to and fro is about 1 hour 20 minutes, and I’m using old model IS220d (2007), if after spending this much money and it starts doing nonsense again, I will be selling it asap… Make one car no go send me go back home grin grin
Bross Im hoping you sold this car

Please where can I change Naira to pounds in Nigeria where you are 100 percent sure I won’t be given fake pounds
If I was you, I will buy Dollars instead of pound just to be safe.

Well yes, commission free at Morrisons, its safer than risking buying fake Pounds by the road side. You are more prone to buying fake $ than fake £. well that's my opinion from personal experience.
you want to know that worse part? is buying Old pound note we no longer use.

All the same, the same people that will sell fake £ will have fake $ as well.

There is no point converting naira to dollar in Nigeria then convert it again from $ to £ when you get to the UK.

erm how are they meant to know the Old pound notes? etc$ area easier to get than £ cos BTC in Nigeria convert their £ to $ at the 1st opportunity. You also forget the point I made that you can convert it back to ££ once in the Uk at no commission and might even had gained against the £ at that point.

All this ‘no Commision’ talk is not as nice as it seem (from my vast personal experience).
What’s the point of claiming ‘no Commision’ while giving shit, very shit rates?

In any case, I think it doesn’t make sense to have naira physically, then change it to dollars. Then further change the dollars to pounds.
If my fear is fake £ (or old £), I will do barter. Deposit the naira into someone’s acct and get em to transfer genuine £ to mine.

What do you mean by shit rates? have you actually gone there? Rates are displayed on there and its up to you if you go in to change, their rates are market value in real time, Now how did they Morrisons mange to give you a rate you considered shit when it was displayed in front of you B4 you went in and you still went in even after you determined the rate was shit? You sim to 4get morrisons like Tesco and post offices own their own bank and match the rates of bank of England just like your own personal bank will

Then number 5, how can i check the credit report. kindly send the link. Thank you

4) You can apply for a British Airways AMEX Credit card, It's pretty straight forward and their approval rate is very high at the moment.

You can use my link http://amex.co.uk/refer/nnAnnW9hPF?XL=MNMNS when applying and we both get bonus avios points.

5) You use https://www.experian.co.uk/ or https://www.equifax.co.uk/ to check for free for a period, but you may have to pay if you want to have continued access.

No commission yes but that is just a distraction for a very low rate

Anybody understood why refugees coming into UK by boat should go to Rwanda please?

I really don't understand what this is all about?
Cos they are not genuine Migrants, they come here to take the Piz and make life harder for everyone else. Who so ever thought of this Rwanda holding place is a genus I swear down, it just solved one of the biggest problem of the UK. This wont stop the boats from coming thought but it will stop people getting freebees. Millions of ££££££ saved

Bro we can compare your bank rates with people like ASDA, I have done this B4 and all the times when I returned from the continent with Euro after a job there.

But the issue I have is that ,why only males?

Won't they just load the next boats with females and children.

Is it really a negative?

I just started taking driving lessons and before this I had never driven or learnt how to in naija and I wish I had.

I've had 3 two hour lessons and I've had an earful from my instructor. I don't even know if I'm making progress at all and it's even automatic. I don watch YouTube videos tire.

Omo I don tell hubby say it's not a do or die. If I don't know how to drive nothing spoil, he will continue running errands. Lol

Word! I wish I had at least the rudimentary of driving a car. I dey budget 45hrs like this, cos the amount of corrections I get from my instructor is crazy. Hopefully, it's less.

I never drove in Nigeria, passed my manual driving lessons, after 5 brush up lessons (I had been driving with producer, for over 6 years prior)......... cheesy

Nigerian driving experience, normalises all the negative habits (old habits die hard).......

Your hubby does not to be the family uber driver (if your husband's DL is over 3 years), get a small Toyota Aygo or similar, for home lessons ...........

Do more home lessons and less paid instructor lead lessons ..........

You'd not have to have so many classes to correct the bad habits, as against starting from scratch

If you can perform both roles without your employer's sniffing you out or relying on either of them to file documentations........

Just ensure you don't inform your colleagues of your move or they would grass you up ........

What if you have a T2 sponsorship? Will this work?

Yea, but will I use like 30hrs to correct bad habit? Las las, my eye go clear before I don too spend too much on relearning

What if you have a T2 sponsorship? Will this work?

If you have Tier 2 sponsorship, you can only do 20hrs for another employer in the same occupation code or in another shortage occupation. You're not allowed to just take up a second random job, unfortunately. If you're going to do more than 20hrs you're going to need sponsorship from the second employer

Baba, anything for the boys?
BY the way, How do I physical cash to my revolut account?
Revolut doesnt accept direct cash lodgment. What other options can I use? I have some cash but want to do online transactions as I live far from city centre.
Thanks.

You start from scratch..........

Your Nigerian experience, is not a positive, but a negative......

1 - Obtain a provisional licence
2 - Get a driving instructor
3 - Start revising for your driving theory test
4 - Book your theory driving test (expires in 2 years, if you don't pass your practical driving test)
5 - When you understand the rudimentals of proper driving, awareness, perception etc etc
6 - Book your Driving practical test
7 - Ensure you avoid points within 2 years, or your licence would get revoked

NB : Remember, your vehicle horn is not a musical instrument.......... grin

Not in any particular order, but a guide ........ cool

Thank you.
Though Nigerian experience is always a positive because you have the benefit of already knowing the basics and how to cordinate. Just need to learn new rules.
Thanks again.

When you schedule the appointment you're supposed to get an appointment reference number and ID immediately didn't you get that?
It also comes via email almost immediately too.

Thanks for your response. No, I didn't get it even via email. However, I tried rebooking again and was lucky to be provided with the initial date I picked.
