The US visa lottery as of 2022 doesn't include Nigerians to participate in the program. So don't fall victim to scammers. Nigeria was excluded from the list sometime in 2015, because we have had about 50,000 immigrants sent over to the US in the previous 5 years leading to the ban.

A simple google search could do you lot of good.

Sorry, its blue paper. I made a typo error. I think I should just leave USA in the meantime and focus on Canada Since i have their Letter of Acceptance. I have already contacted them and they want me to pay for the tuition for first semester = CAD 9000 in order to secure my seat as classes are filling up quickly. They also said that this payment will add more credence to my VISA application.

Hello. I thought blue paper is denied when one is denied visa under section 214b.

Check the yellow paper and see section what you were denied.

There are different path to studying nursing in USA.

****Are you a graduate?
If Yes - Apply and start doing your pre-requisites from nigeria. After completing your pre-requisites apply for accelerated RN/BSN( 18months) programs in USA. After the completion of your program, look for a hospital filing for GreenCard apply and start working.

If No - If you just graduated high school. Apply to community colleges(they are cheap and affordable) in USA for RN programs. After completion, look for hospitals on GreenCard based application and apply.

Best of Luck!

Good day house, Please I need your advice concerning the choice of universities maybe in Canada or the US. My wife holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Environmental Health Technology with Distinction from POGIL College of Health Technology, Nigeria with more than 7years of experience as a Health Care Assistant and 4years as Environmental Health Officer licensed with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON) and a professional certification in Principles of Occupational Health and Safety Management System, Food Safety Training - Safe Practices and Procedures, CPR, AED AND FIRST AID and Diploma in Nursing and Caregiving from Alison.
(1) Which US universities accept HND for masters?

Let her start with ECE evaluation and apply for Public health programs in USA. Most schools accept HND after evaluation, checkout the program write the admissions office and start your application.

Best of Luck!

Help please!!

Wait for the correction. It takes 1-business days with some schools.

Best of luck!

Hello everyone,

Please, I need your insight/advice on this situation.

Last yèar, during my F1 visa interview, the VO asked me if I will be going with my wife, I told him NO, as my wife was schooling and doing her business. Hence, çannot abandon her sch to join me. Now, she is almost rounding up.

She went for her F2 visa few days ago, and was told that her husband said, she won't be joining him, what has changed? And she gave an entirely off point answer, as she did not anticipate the question and I mistakenly did not prep her to that point. She was telling the VO that her husband cannot visit at this time, cos of his demanding research work bla bla bla

Now, we are about to reapply. Will stating that she has completed her program be appealing to them? Since, had already given an out of point answer initially.

Please, what do you think is the best way to go about this? Cos, I know that, that same question will arise again.

Thank you very much.

She is visiting her husband not relocating bcz she has bla bla ...... going on for her in nigeria... if i were you, that would have been my line. Your choice of word can change the context and the direction of the interview.... She is not coming to stay but visit her husband...then the next question would be how long are you visiting?

Is it enough to apply for emergency request for visa interview through the visa scheduling page? (on the left hanside, there is an option to make an emergency request). Or one has to send an email to the US embassy? Thank you!

Hello,
My Visa interview is Soon and I would like my transcript to be reviewed please, and if anyone is open a for mock Interview, I am available

My transcript
VO: Can I see you i20 and passport
Me: Hand it over
VO: Why are you going the US
Me: To get a Masters in public health degree with a concentration in environmental and occupational health from the University of South florida.
VO: Why the school
Me: I choose USF because it us a researched based institution, the environmental and occupational health program has the Centre for environmental and occupational risk analysis and management which carry out researches in chemical exposure in agriculture industry and occupation and its risk and effect on human health, a centre i am very interested in working in, USF also carry out community engagement which would help me interact with agricultural workers on the field and learn current problems they encounter pertaining to the environment and what is being done to control them, and they have the graduate student research program which facilitates students to write for grants, funding for research and partipate in professional conference presentation which would improve my leadership and communication skills in my future career endeavour.
VO: How many schools did you apply for
Me : I applied to 5 Universities, I got admitted into 3 and I choose to attend USF
VO:who will be funding your program
Me: my uncle ... Will be sponsoring my MPH program, he has been my responsible for my education after the demise of his sister who is my mother
VO: you have a bsc in agric.
Me: yes with a concentration in soil science
VO: So, why a MPH degree
Me: During my internship, I got to work on the field with agricultural producers and I experienced the amount of chemical exposure that goes on in production of the food we consume as well as to the agricultural producers who do not take measures to protect themselves from these chemicals and chemical exposure in food can lead to some diseases related with the lungs and even cancer, that was when I decided that I wanted to protect agricultural producers while preserving the environment and meeting food requirements with safe practices and this degree and the coursework will help me achieve this goal
VO: research interest
Me: I am in contact with a prof who is the director of the Centre I am interested in working in and he as shown interest in what attracted me to the degree and has offered me a position in his research team and I intend working with him.
He is currently working on presence of arsenic in rice and its effect on human health and I am interested in this research because rice is one of the staple food in Nigeria
VO: Future plans
Me: After my degree, I will return to Nigeria to resume a position with SRS to carry out chemical assessment and toxicology evaluation of chemicals used in agricultural production to ensure they are safe to use for both man and crop and are efficient and also carry out occupational safety checks on Agricultural industry . I also intend to partner with NGO and young agricultural producers to carry out sensitization on the need for PPE on the field as well as why traditional prepared preservatives does more harm than good.
I would also work to bridge the gap between health and agriculture in Nigeria.

The US F1 visa is largely dependent on your sponsorship, so try as much as possible to touch and be explicit on that - include what your sponsor does and have (properties). When you don't have funding/scholarship, you need to do heavy work on your fluency (delivery). Especially when talking about your sponsor.

I know you stated you are a graduate. Since your first degree may not have direct relation to nursing, you will have to do four years nursing.

But what you can do is to do RN in US and pass NCLEX exam, get work and then do accelerated BSN.

Check community colleges in US that do RN.

Check Houston Community College, www.hccs.edu
