this is a very good question. i really want to know if sale of landed properties, is good enough proof for the money in the account for POF.
you can sell landed properties and use for POF.
Finally, patiently read from page one. You ask questions that you will never get the answers here untill you read.

oga, go and read page 1 and stop disturbing us abeg. What is it?

I will see 10 new posts on the thread, thinking it is about the much expected EE draw, only to see you asking questions that already have answers on page 1. Everyone is prodding you to go to page 1, yet you are proving unnecessarily stubborn.

time you should be using to read from page 1. We know your type , ask repetitive questions then come back in 2024 to ask same questions again.
you are just sad, and I'm not the cause of your problem, look for some one else to bully. if you felt the answers to my questions had already been addressed, it doesn't make you any less of a human being to be polite. this anger and sadness in your heart should be directed at the issues you have not at total strangers.

Hello everyone.

Please I need advice and information. I am in the pool and the highest education cert I used was masters but for some reason I do not want to use the masters certificate, I want to use my Bsc cert which will reduce my CRS by 5 points. I have already evaluated and sent the masters cert through wes, is there any way i can remove it and replace it with my undergraduate cert. Secondly, will this in any way affect my chances, apart from the obvious reduction in CRS?

PS: the reason I do not want to use my masters is a long story, I do not even want to get into that. Thanks.

ednut1 and GraciousWords I have been reading your replies with great respect, I'd be happy if you can contribute.

The truth is sometimes bitter. I was having lunch with a friend in Toronto last week and he told me that emotions aside if they call an election he will vote the conservatives. Unfortunately from Nigeria nobody will understand as many want to move to Canada. I feel like the current Canadian government hasn't done much to address the housing crises. Ontario has a lot of land (bigger than Nigeria in land mass) but housing crises is crazy. I spent 4 months in an AirBnb at a rate of $2800 monthly. I got tired of using uber to go view condos. Many times I'd go view a condo I'll meet like 5 or 7 people viewing same apartment. I submitted multiple offers but got turned down. Landlords are smiling to the bank in GTA. My employer gave me a supporting letter still struggled through bidding war before one application was eventually accepted.
I've been wondering why they don't construct more houses instead of fighting the source of the demand. More students and more immigrants will obviously need more housing.
Doug Ford is frustrated. The mayor of Mississauga is also frustrated

So in a nutshell, why is it difficult to allocate more land for housing development? Abi Canada dey do NIMBY? shocked

I've asked the same question but get different answers:
1. Difficulty for developers to secure building permits from the council within a short time-frame.
2. Shortage of workers in the construction sector. the sector is regulated hence new immigrants need to get through some form of licensing.
3. Despite the huge land resource, the local council has a zoning policy that designates a vast portion of the land as green area (for trees, forests and all) thus making it impossible for houses to be built there.
4. The local council also determines the kind of building that can be constructed in a particular zone. You cant build high rise buildings in some zones and cant build residential buildings in some zones also.
5.Property tax issues

And many other issues are we dont face in Nigeria lol

Hello Sir and Ma...

Pls, I want to seek sabi peoples advice, especially people who have already relocated via Express Entry/PNP

Yes, I have read a number of pages here and have gained a lot.

My uncle (a civil engineer) and his wife (a senior nurse at UCH then) with their two kids relocated to Canada more than a decade now. I didn't actually know the route they took, I had just finished my SSCE at the time and wasn't exposed to relocation stuff.

Yeah, to God be the glory, they are doing fine (they've got a number of investments in Naija).

A couple of weeks ago, he, my uncle called my mum (his younger sister) and during the conversation, he tried to get my mum talk to me if I would be willing to relocate or I am already satisfied with the job I am doing in Naija.

Since he relocated, we had only spoken three times, and those moments were during festivities when he would speak to everyone present at family house. I never for once called to request a penny from him. Other family members do. I am kind of independent personality. It is my present job that is making me change that mentality as it requires team work.

I hold a BSc and a Master's degree and working with FG (Paramilitary Job). I joined in 2019, that's 3+ years now on the job. Yeah, I had tried the US via schooling for Masters but no success. Since then, I locked up.

Now, due to my mum's insistence, I called the said uncle and after a few bashing from him that I'd not be calling him, that maybe I am okay with Naija job, I want to become the N0 1 in my job bla bla bla. I sha apologise and he put it to me straight that I am marketable based on my education level, age and job experience and would want to facilitate my relocation via PNP. He is in Manitoba. He added that he had assisted few people from his wife's side.

Now, having read the long process involved on the thread with what he also chipped in to prepare.

ECA via WES for my Masters Degree.
Writing Ielts general
Passport
PCC
Medicals
RL from my employer
Payslips etc
All these for me and my wife.
All these will take significant part of my savings. In fact, I have started spending.

I just created an account and paid WES fees ($250) yesterday. I've also contacted my school for transcript. This alone has taken roughly 200k from me. That of my wife will likely take more that 200k cos she holds (ND, HND from different polytechnic)

Shey Someone who is willing to facilitate relocation will not support in the pre-ITA process? And i don't wanna ask. It appears he is only providing POF.

For me, I am kind of scared considering spending all my savings on this route. My other challenge is that immediately I clocked two years in my present job in 2021, i got a house on a mortgage of 20year repayment plan via Federal Mortgage Bank.

Also, I checked my skill level on NOC, I am rated on band C (High School graduates). People have narrated how people struggle to get accommodations and other needs. Yeah, I am not so comfortable here but, but, but,...

My head is full of these thoughts after paying WES fees yesterday.

Pls I want sincere inputs, especially from people in Manitoba to guide my decision either to continue the process or not

Is your wife 31yrs or younger..?? Does she have 3yrs working experience.. Then she could be the primary applicant...If your work experience is NOC C(I'm not used to the TEER system yet), then you won't be eligible...You both can then go for FSW instead of the PNP..

I appreciate your input Sir/Ma.

She's 30 and has only 2years work experience at a Marketing Unit of a Private Radio Station. So she can't be the primary applicants.

I will be 32 in few months time. Thanks for the point you raised as regard NOC eligibility. The moment my skills put me on band C, I was turned off.

Only you can decide if you want this. There are numerous hurdles you may face on this journey and your uncle's passion will not carry you through them. You seem content in your current position with mortgage etc. Research Canada, speak to people, then form a view of your future prospects in Naija versus Canny.

If you decide to go ahead, read page 1. You can pay for your ECA this month, hers the next month, your IELTS after that, her IELTS the month following etc. Many people did not have the cash for everything at once. Your NOC is determined by the description of your current or past jobs. Research more on Manitoba and other PNP pathways.

Ps: Your uncle offering to provide your POF is not "only"...it is many multiples of what you'll pay for ECA, IELTS, medicals, PCC etc.

hmm! You paid just 250 d for Wes, I paid 323d for CES. I understand shaa, but,you don't expect him to sponsor you,you will claiming point from him in your Manitoba nominations, which is a big deal.
You are working right,so you have to try and help yourself,it is also a big deal if there is someone to help you with POF,it is not easy oo, be grateful for any help you will get from him.
I don't know how much you are earning for you to think that you would be comfortable with your job here.
This is worth it, Although it seems like you are forcing your self.
You are the one make the decision, yes you don't have to do it immediately like gracious heart suggested, pnp do not always require a very high point like the federal nominations. So na you go know wetin you go do.

Hello,

Please what is the current average processing time from application submission to PPR? Someone said about 4months and I couldn’t believe it.

if you studied outside Nigeria where the duration is less than 5years don't even bother. I wasted money for IQAS after doing WES. My degree was evaluated as bachelors.
Temitayo295:
IQAS evaluates law degrees as a professional program, so you get more points in your express entry application, I used IQAS, and the timeline depends on when they receive your transcript, so I'll advise you to send it via courier cause apparently that is faster than email, processing time from when they received my transcript to evauation took a little over one month.

So CRS score would soon be a thing of the past in early 2023 . It would only be by Job I'm demand or so , as stated by IRCC . I'm amazed no one is talking about this here . The impact would be quite enormous . Resitting for IELTS to ace the scores might also def be a thing of the past as that wouldn't matter anymore .

Pls I want sincere inputs, especially from people in Manitoba to guide my decision either to continue the process or not
...For your mortgage, you can keep paying it while there.

✓Better seize this opportunity and make something useful with your life..A lot of persons are looking for relatives in Saskatchewan/Manitoba to support their migration dreams ,and here you are.... Wasting time! Do it for your future generations! Take that move.

✓Expecting someone who is providing relative support and probably Pof to still support you with funds shows that you are immature and feeling unnecessarily entitled to what is not yours! ...You need to change that mentality! A man shouldn't depend on others for everything! Person give you wife...you dey ask for bed to fulfill your conjugal duties...That is height of irresponsibility!

✓Start the process fast
