Carry your wallet print out. All your registrations are there in the expenditure. Many Study Centres accept that.

Is is applicable for students studying information technology too or it's only computer science?

On the announcement paper carrying the list of the old courses and their corresponding new course codes & names during last year's exam, it's the CIT342 & CIT308 is only showing under computer science section, not on information technology dept.

That's why I'm asking to be sure.

Yes 308 is now the new course code, even if you register the old course code what u will see in the timetable for exam will be cit308.

Pls is there any form I have to submit to either school or the ITF office within 2 weeks of my commencement of SIWES? Maybe like SCAF form?

I was watching a YouTube tutorial on logbook filling now and the person said SCAF is to be submitted with 2 weeks once I find a place for my IT. I don't know if that applies to NOUN.

The only form I know that requires submission within 2 weeks is Job Reporting form and it's like it's no longer required as I heard, it's not available on the SIWES portal again.

Samisha500 pls I need your reply too on this, thanks.

There are places for the supervisor at where you do your SIWES to sign.
Make sure the date and stamp on the acceptance letter are appropriate.

likely fraud minded biz centre agent manipulated ur registeration the last time u registered.
Check the amt in ur remita rrr receipt and compare it with the amount u gave him then.

Please check your mail and locate all your payment receipt. Especially payments made in 2016/17. Compare all your receipts with the ones listed in your e-wallet. If you find any payment receipt not listed there, take it to your study centre or use the e-ticket to send the complaint.
Like someone pointed out "fraud", it is not always true. To verify if it is true, check your audited RRR values, do they match or is there anyone audited as zero? Those are the ones that are considered fraud-related.

OK, that's Placement Acceptance letter/form stamped and signed at my IT place. I took it to my faulty but the person that attended to me didn't collect it. She just told me to bring it back on the day of defense and I will upload it on the day of or after defense.
I don't know if that's the new way they do it.

Form1 - Request for Placement of Student Letter
Form2 - ACCEPTANCE OF SIWES PLACEMENT
Form3/4 - SIWES EMPLOYER’S EVALUATION FORM

Form1 is for you to take to your place of attachment seeking for approval to do SIWES in their place
From2 This is filled by your employer after accepting you to begin SIWES in their establishment
Form3/4 Is the form the employer will use to evaluate you. After the evaluation, you are required to take same to you study centre. This form is normally filled after you have completed your SIWES.

The above are a the forms.
Under logbook and forms, just convert the above forms at the end of your SIWES to a single document pdf and upload.
Take the same and submit at your study centre.

GRADUATED STUDENTS FINAL CLEARANCE

Good afternoon sir/ma;

Good news to all 2023 graduated students 90% of your final clearance will be done online through nouonline.net. The school Management itself has put the final clearance page on the school website.

Steps to do your final clearance on the school website

The Final Clearance Process

✅ Check your Wallet

✅ Determine the Total Amount Payable

✅ If the Wallet Balance is adequate, the amount gets deducted from the wallet automatically and the clearance is completed successfully.

✅ If the amount payable is above the wallet balance, you are redirected to Remita to generate an RRR for payment.

✅ After payment you should submit the RRR and your Matric Number for verification. If RRR verification with Renita is successful, and the clearance process is complete.

✅ Please report any discrepancy to the nearest NOUN Account Officer.

NOTE: This is only working for only graduated students. Do your final clearance online to stop these staff by adding unnecessary bills for you.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS ON SIWES

The following documents are to be downloaded from the platform after filling the online master list:

▪️ Form 001
▪️ Form 002 (Placement Letter)
▪️ Form 003 (Acceptance of SIWES Form)

On securing a placement for SIWES, students are expected to fill the online Placement List and download Form 004 (SIWES Job Reporting Form), Form 005 (SIWES Employers’ Evaluation Form). Then Collect the SIWES Logbook, SCAF Form and ITF Form 8 (ITF funded programmes only) from the Desk Officer at your Study Centres.

▪️Placement Letter – This is the formal letter of placement to be submitted to the employer by each intending SIWES student. This letter is used for seeking for a place of SIWES relevant to fields of studies of the students.

▪️Acceptance of SIWES Form – This is a reply to the placement letter submitted above from the employer to the Directorate of SIWES. Students must obtain a signed Acceptance of SIWES form from their employers on securing a place for the SIWES attachment.

▪️Job Reporting Form – It is to be completed by the student as he/she assumes duty. The form must be returned to the Study Centres within two weeks of the commencement of SIWES. The information on the form will assist the Directorate during the supervision visits. Failure to return this form is taken as non-participation in the programme.

▪️The SIWES Logbook– should be completed daily and signed weekly by the industry-based supervisor. This is very important. The logbook will be examined during supervision visits and be checked along with work reports on industrial work experience. You must have the logbook with you every time you are on duty.

▪️SIWES Evaluation Form - It is to be completed by the employer at the end of the SIWES programme. It must be brought back to the Desk Officer at the Study Centre under confidential cover.

Students should note that SIWES is not a vacation job. It is a compulsory programme and an integral part of academic work. Any case of indiscipline during this period will attract severe disciplinary measures. If a student has any problem with his/her place of SIWES attachment, he/she should contact the Directorate immediately.

Furthermore, there should be no change of employer unless the Directorate gives a written permission. Any change without a written permission will be regarded as non-participation in the programme.

In conclusion, I will like to assure you that the Directorate will come to your assistance whenever you are in any form of difficulty. You should feel free to send a mail or discuss with the supervisors during supervision visits. In any case of emergency, you should contact your Desk Officer or the Directorate immediately.

I wish you a successful Student's Industrial Work Experience Scheme Programme.
