Lagos state was the formal capital of Nigeria...As a formal capital there shouldn't be discrimination among inhabitants...Whatever developments that has been is the blueprint of Lagos since time memorial. In the last election, the leaders knew if they used that bait, they will use it to get votes from the indigenes and molest other predominant tribes residing in Lagos. In normal climes, this should not be an issue, it's just our leaders way of playing dirty politics, and they get support from thoughtless followers. Whatever Lagos is enjoying today is as a result of the fact that it was the formal capital of Nigeria, when Nigeria was best at work. After all, if Lagos is good, it's to the betterment of every foreigner, indigene, non-indigene residing in Lagos. muykem: |

muykem:What u are simply saying is that we should pass a law to stop non indigenes from voting in state elections. I think that is the best way becus how do u tell people who to vote and not to vote for? Omo, how some blacks reason dey shock me. The only way out of this is simply tell Nigeria federal govt to enact a law to forbid non indigines from voting in states election aside their own state. This to me is the best. Becus as long as non indegines are allowed to cast votes in another state, how exactly do u want to tell them, dont vote for A o, vote for B o? Does it sound logically okay? The only reason Lagos was a case was becus Lagos is the center of commerce for Nigeria just like we have in every country. There is always a major city of commerce and people dont really care much about tribe there. To fix issues like this: Nigeria has two options: One, go fully into regional based system so that every region elects their own indegines only in local elections and only indegines can vote in such elections. Also, regions should manage their resources, rivers, railway, police, economy, airspace with some restrictions, etc. The second option is to completely ban non indigenes from voting in any state aside Federal elective posts. This second option wont fly becus the way Nigeria is structured has made Lagos mainly attractive to Nigerians as the commercial center. The first option is the best. And I really encourage Yorubas to push for this. This will make them have complete control of their lagos. This way too, other regions can have control of their own regions and their resources. If we fail to do this, it wont work and this can cause crises. Honestly, it can. 1 Like |

muykem: So people who do business and pay taxes in a state should have no say in the governance of a state? Meanwhile immigrant Nigerians are taking governance positions in US, UK & Canada, and we are commending them? We really need to do away with archaic, backward, unprogressive and tribalistic ways and motivations of thinking. |

muykem: Purge yourself of tribalism my dear brother. Tribalism has kept you guys on one spot. Sorry if you feel offended by this, but that's true... Anyway, I don't blame you so much, it's generational orientation and re-orientation by our parents, grand-parents etc... For whatever reason you have that made you bear hatred for a human being created by God, your fellow tribal man can have it, but the idea of "hatred" will never cross your mind. Please in it's time we begin to query the inherent orientation in us. |

muykem: Tribalist. Who's the UK prime minister and where's he originally from? Nigerians are heading counties in US, other western countries. Get a life, and stop you tribalism. It's not a big deal that Sanwo Olu, a Nigerian from Yoruba tribe bought CNG vehicle from innoson, a Nigerian from Igbo tribe. |

That is nice..let encourage our local manufacturers and patronize them...if innoson motors expands it's bussiness or company to other states it will create more jobs for the youths in those states..so let support and patronize our local manufacturers...not everytime patronizing foreign goods or products |

Nigeria can turn to an industrialized country and a producing country if the government provide a conducive environment for bussinesses to strive and expand.. by providing constant electricity supply and other things |

Innoson is doing something that is astoundingly commendable. An individual holding it down at the highest level of auto manufacturing ? It's not a mean feat. Oga Inno, take your flowers. πΊπΉπΊπΉ I'm so proud of you. I have a dream of setting up an automobile industry Γn the nearest future and I believe that what you've done will inspire me to achieve same. God bless you Sir ... You deserve a national honour and not those criminal politicians who only steal from the national purse. 2 Likes |

We also gave NORD and PROFORCE both car and military vehicles MANUFACTURERS in the SOUTHWEST. Lagos should know where to focus o. Insiders/indigenous firms should be PATRONISED first before considering OUTSIDERS - that's if they worth consideration. |

Ifyz0001: Some of you are just HYPOCRITES...and I'm glad LAGOS first is about to adopt this new law in the STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY...then other SW states will follow suite. most of other TRIBES from the South are envious of lagos with her success. Always wishing her bad against any success recorded...yet na this same lagos you these TRIBES are racking in LOADS OF INCOME..why will someone want to see in desolate the place she feeds? Who does that? When a motion was raised to see LAGOS granted SPECIAL STATUS in the NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, you THESE same TRIBES stood firm against it... yet you want to continue REAPING from that same LAGOS? NO! YOU CAN'T EAT YOUR CAKE AND HAVE IT. |
