Former security guards, Happie Boys, who were offered scholarships to further their education abroad, have cried out online about their current condition.

It can be recalled that the young men, Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, became internet sensations after a video of them dancing on duty in their security uniforms surfaced online.

Following reports that they were sacked over the video, they received public sympathy and were awarded a fully-funded scholarship, alongside their manager Caleb, to study abroad by philanthropist Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor of Omega Power Ministries (OPM).

However, in a surprising development, the boys revealed in a post shared on their official Instagram page that they were only able to attend school for six months before being forced to drop out due to lack of sponsorship.

They claimed that finding a job in Cyprus is very difficult, and the cost of living in the country is extremely high.

They also shared their alleged conversations with Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, where they requested money from him multiple times, but he either claimed to be broke or ignored their messages.

Captioning the post, Happie Boys wrote;

“We want to use this medium to thank each and everyone of you out there more especially my fans, family & @papa.opm who helped us fly abroad to school which we are so grateful!! After GOD used @gossipmilltv to show the world our inbuilt talent from GOD & we’re forever grateful to GOD for looking after us, sustaining and providing for us for the past 8 months which the scholarship lasted for only 6 months and us who didn’t come from rich homes dropped out from school because is very hard for anyone to get a job here in Cyprus! Ask @ogenecyprus .. Living in the country became so expensive but GOD in heaven is seeing his children through!! “Let Love Lead”🙏🏻🥀 Who no go no know! #happinessisfree #freeshallipopi”

Due to the high increasing rate of dollars to Naira.
OPM is suspending all scholarship to any country where dollars is spend.
So all the less privileged students OPM is helping have only 2 options.
Number one , Nigerian universities were dollars is not spent.
Number two, Benin Republic where dollars is not used.
These 2 scholarships would not be stopped, because education is very very important to Apostle Chibuzor OPM.
Helping the less privileged to go school in my passion and will never be stopped.
And remember there No NGO or government partnership on all OPM scholarship.
Everything is 100 percent from tithes and offerings in OPM church.

Why send them to Cyprus? He could have just sent them to one of the universities in Nigeria and foot their bill.

Would they be willing to return & resume in a Nigerian school? They should plead with their sponsor for that option.

Of all places is Cyprus the OPM choose to send the boys to go and study.

One of my guy went to Cyprus and returned back after 2yrs because of how hard it is to find jobs in Cyprus.

I read weeks back when the apostle advised individuals abroad studying under his scholarship to make necessary arrangements to switch over to institutions in Nigeria due to paucity of funds(foreign currency),and having realized that it is cheaper for them to study in Nigeria,

they will soon be back home... dancing on social media for another saviour! yet majority of "holy" baba in church are collecting millions but will rather buy a private jet than help the youth.

My thought too,why not let them school here instead of sending them to Cyprus and ghosting them though I am against them posting chats they had with him,that was really petty on their side.

I think the Pastor restructure all his sponsorship candidates recently even those in USA that like things are getting hard kind of. So i wont doubt if they wont be affected. He should have sent them to higher learning here in nigeria. But i learnt that those guys got to cyprus and start behaving like a cult, may be they are even one. Anyway, i pray for them that wont lead to deportation cos cyprus no get jobs to give easily.

The OPM sponsor announced sometime ago that students on scholarship abroad will be relocated to universities in Nigeria due to high exchange rate,etc, some agreed while some refused. The duo must probably be among those who refused to return to Nigeria. Why are they wailing?
