Hello, my Lexus rx350 side mirrors have been stolen twice . After the first time it was stolen, I put my plate number on it, and now it has been stolen again. I can’t keep changing side mirrors everytime with almost 100k.
What can I do to prevent this from happening again ? Or even catching the culprit?
This happened in the same place where I do park my car.

I guess the said side mirror is one that has traficator on it. If that is the case look for the one that does not have traficator. It should stop attracting the mirror thieves! Just a thought in my head though!

Bait the thieve. Buy another mirror, park in the same spot, heavily tip a provision seller around the place to watch the car and put you on speed dial when she sees any suspicious activity around the car. Or do the surveillance yourself.

This is just plain wickedness, who will buy a mirror that have been engraved.

Buy all those gum that they use to trap rats and apply it inconspicuously, tho, generously around the area. It should work.

Or turn on the car's panic mode.

Most of these guys are now going about, vandalizing cars, especially Japanese ones and I’m turn, selling the parts to Ladipo spare parts dealers.

I have a comprehensive insurance and my insurance company didn’t cover it because my car wasn’t broken into .
The vandalism claim was meant for only when you car is broken into .

There is a reason why you should not live in a neighborhood that you are way way ahead of. Those mirrors ain't cheap, each will cost at least 20k. Someone that drives rx 350 should afford to live in a compound with gate and security personnel.

They had been doing our roads, so we couldn’t park inside the compound since they had to break fences and removed the gates.
The gates are fixed now and I park inside my compound
