thatthickgurl:Can you send it to infinix office in China? |
Re: Living In The USA - Life Of An Immigrant Part 1 by Taal17: 8:53pm On Sep 15, 2023 |
thatthickgurl:Buy a new phone. That's your best option...transfer the SIM and retrieve WhatsApp. Whenever you get to another country you can always check for those who repair Infinix. America has very limited support for phone asides from Apple and Samsung brands |

Taal17: Oh, I have multiple phones but the issue is the SIM card doesn’t work with the phones I bought here. So my WhatsApp can’t be transferred to another phone because my SIM card is not active for WhatsApp to send a verification code. |

horlahsunbo225: That’s far o , am I not better off just sending to Nigeria and paying 3k for the repair 😭. I didn’t want to consider this option before but it feels like I have no choice |

thatthickgurl:Hmm doesn't work because of the size? Eg microSIM vs nanoSIM space? If so you could consider SIM cutters. If you live in a major city you might find some Asian stores that do phone repair and ask them about the SIM. Else send to Nigeria as someone suggested. I hope you find a good repairer 1 Like |

thatthickgurl: They do - as long as its roaming with whichever roaming partner they use. I usually load at least 4000 naira, I keep it active by sending a few texts and I have received calls. Sometimes network bars may drop but typically its fine. For context this is for Airtel . 5 Likes |

Please, what do you all think about Virginia. No one has said anything about it here. I am considering moving there to further my studies (nursing). I am currently in Texas. I won't mind connecting with anyone that's living there or very familiar with the state. Thanks! |

BunmiBie: Any reason why you want to leave Texas? If you read a couple of pages back some posters mentioned places in Virginia. |

BunmiBie: Not to discourage you, but my guy studied around Norfolk, Virginia, and didn't say anything positive about that place. Gun violence is somewhat widespread from what he mentioned. You're better off in the Midwest: New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado and its surroundings Professor822714: Yes, a friend recently applied and did her biometrics at the DC embassy. |

Etisalat does not work in the United States, you can only continue to use the what's app, but can't roam the line. Taal17: 1 Like |

Posting this here, instead of in Ads as I think it may attract the wrong people. I am based here in New York. My husband used to post here in Nairaland regularly, as Imperiouxx or Imperiouxxx. He came to US from Nigeria on Student visa, and then we got married and he is now here through green card. Here is our situation: We have a child (4 yrs), and we are going to have another child by December. We have been looking for a child care provider but have not been successful. If anyone knows anyone who is based in NY, NY and is looking for some extra work. We have been looking everywhere locally, if you know someone here please let us know. 2 Likes 1 Share |
