My own opinion;
Interms of reliability Lexus wins
Interms of driving fun, give it to glk, the way the machine balance even at 180km.
If you are above age of 40, buy rx, if below, buy glk. If like to carry carry girls, buy glk.
If you love speed and stability, buy glk.

Glk350 all the way,You see that Rx350?it’s overhyped nd I see nothing,absolutely nothing in that car abeg.it’s even costlier than the GLK.

Used to own a GLK.

Extremely sporty and sexy car. Get a clean one with the AMG wheels or the other grey wheels, not the silver one that's common, and it'll turn heads.

Cabin had a good feel but felt cheap in a lot of places. The buttons for window controls will peel off over time. Same for the steering wheel controls.

The AC was noisy as hell. No cooled seats. Few months into use and my driver seat lumber support kinda collapsed one day when I was stretching.

Sound system was very good. Not exceptional but very good. MBUX is fairly intuitive - the infotainment system is easy to use imo.

The drive was sporty in that accelaration was okayish and you always get very 'throaty' throttle response. I loved the way it sounded when I stepped on the gas peddle, probably what I'd miss the most about the car. The car was genuinely angry lol.

That said it didn't handle corners as well as I'd expected, I know it's technically an SUV but I kinda expected better. for reference I prefer the guile and agility of my 2012 corolla sports to this car.

It's an absolute gaz guzzler. At best I was getting 14mpg. Again for reference, even when i drive erratically in my corolla I rarely get worse than 27mpg. My corrolla also felt faster in a lot of ways compared to this car

Note also that this car requires premium high octane fuel, whatever the English was but its not what's obtainable in Nigerian fueling stations. Don't know the effect of using regular gas on the Engine anyway.

Now to the main issue. Reliability. It's a fragile car. Don't care what anyone says. Maintenance is expensive. Things will breakdown. When they do you will spend money. My last fix before I sold mine cost me about 510k.

Very importantly.
If you're getting the 4Matic variant which i assume you would cos I don't think there are non 4matic variants for 2013 model year and upwards make sure you test this:

Start the car turn the steering to full tilt and try to move as if you're going round in a circle. If you feel any grinding noise or vibration absolutely do not buy that car. Transfer case is fried. Fixing it is tantamount to getting a new gearbox.

If no grinding noise. You want to get the service history of said car. If toks try get carfax history. If maintenance regular, do a transmission drain and refill along with other serviceables.

If not toks, if service history unconfirmable absolutely do not touch transmission of said car. Do not attempt to replace transmission fluid. Drive your car like that.

Do I recommend it? Yes and honestly I'll still pick it over the 2014 RX cos the latter just looks and feels so much like a family car. Doesn't have that presence and exclusive feel if you know what I mean.

A clean GLK 350 with the wheels I talked about just looks so sublime. Absolute classic. I will buy another one next year.
