Hello Everyone.

Any recent stories of POE for child birth? What should one be aware of?

Individual experiences differ. Just be prepared for any questions that may arise.

Ok thanks. My actual question was more around if any one had experiences of return at POE in recent times.

Your previous F1 denials wont affect you. Ypu sjoild be assessed based on your ties to the Uk, i assume youre there as a stiudent or on a work visa.

Apply with thevreason of being there to witness your childs birth.
Apply for visot

Thank you for your response.
My student visa will expire in May and the month of delivery is June.

What do you think ?

Sir
Just apply for the US visa early many students apply for psw or work visa after studies anyways so your expiry date isnt such a big issue.
You can also apply for vacation , most schools would provide a letter confirmkng you're a student and that your plan to go on vacation.

Answer truthfully that you're married and youd be
going on vacation with your wife . Nobody will question you if after being approved you change your vacation dates.

Ypu are alredy martied please so stop being afraid. This isnt US consulate in Lagos.

Please has anyone here had success reaching out to the US embassy in ATL? I sent documents for my daughter who doesn’t have a Nigerian passport for Emergency Travel but up till now I have not heard back.

I have called and emailed, no response. Someone told me about visa on arrival but I’m scared the airlines might not board her. We’re flying Qatar airways.

Any pointers will be highly appreciated as I do not want to pay the money twice. Thank you!

Pls for those who used Memorial Hermann in Houston, we’re you billed separately for the Drs that attended to new born baby by a Pediatrix medical group?

Have you checked your mailbox?
You can also track the mail you sent to them. Tracking numbers are on the back of the mail receipt you were given

Hmmmm I just came to share my predicament with pediarix Medics. I uses west houston medical center DrZi and Dr Chamkur. I never knew Pediatrix offered a service other than hearing test, they asked me if I wanted the test done and no. Apparently their PD attended to me so did DR Chamkur. No one asked my consent from Pediatox medics so I had a rude shock when I got a bill for $760 after I had engaged Dr Chamkur and paid him $500 and subsequent hospital visit of $250. Initially we didn't where d bill was coming from till Dr Zi investigated and found out it's a double bill for the same service. Now no one wants to back down.I called Pediarix medics they asked me to send a mail which I did 3weeks agp. But this week they sent another reminder 4 d outstanding bill. Infact I just got off the phone with Dr Chamkur and he said I shud not pay but show them the zero balance he gave me. Pls when u deliver specify u already hv a PD o if not u may hv double bill. I don't know howto get out of this mess.

I had this same experience when using Memorial hermann. In fact their own is that you cannot bring in another pediatrician while in the hospital. My hidden bills came up to $2850. I wan mad. we finally negotiated a discount of 10%.

Unfortunately you will have to pay as it is a hospital policy. Your doctor should have informed you about it. The pediatrix issue has been on for a while and even the american moms are comlaining. The Drs literally do nothing and they charge $700 ish per child visit.

Goodday All,

Does anyone here have an idea or used the sliding scale billing method? What does it entail? I just learnt of it and wanted to be sure it has nothing to do with accepting benefit for the US government.

When was that? I mean the last two times you were refused a visa? Things have gotten better now since the Trump era. What was their reasons for refusing you a visa?
