Too much blood in the hands. You're preparing to celebrate and jubilate when there's too much blood upon the land? That's how we celebrate and dance and share monies while countless persons are in the hostage of criminals. Whole passengers of commercial buses are taken captive in broad daylight. The blood cries out for vengeance.

Midfield was weak. Scout of local midfield players if you can't get from abroad. Checkout South Africa, most of their players are playing in their local league
Attack was nonexistent. Defense was compromised severally.

Poor officiating aside, our midfield was awful. Iwobi wasn't in the game at all. When a defence was on a constant attack like we experienced tonight, goals are inevitable.

We played too deep and our wingers were totally useless.

Everytime we won the ball back our wingers were crowded out by two ivorian defenders right in our own half of the field.

We needed to put pressure on the Ivorian defense to push them back but instead we kept going deep.

Adringa pace was used to stretch our defense as South Africa used percy Tau to do the same in the last match.

not Zaidu fault. 100% on the Fair guy

I wouldn't blame him much. Haller is a world class striker. What he did there was pure instinct and no body would have expected him to try such. I wonder where they have kept him all these while. I never knew he was even from Africa until I saw him in their game against Congo. He was introduced into the tournament in the game against Congo and he got the winner for them. When I saw him, I knew he would cause all sort of problems for us the guy is too dangerous. There was a season he was scoring in almost every game in the champions league. He was playing for Ajax then I guess.

So you want Onyeka to be dropped? The problem in that midfield was Iwobi and coach overly defensive pattern. You cant withdraw back to your side for such a long time absorbing pressure waiting for counter that Ivorians had neutralize.

Both of them were the problem in the midfield. They couldn't provide passing option for the midfield nor could control the midfield with the possession they had.

Imagine a setup of Osimen at the middle, Musa by the left and Chukueze by the right running at defenders.

When Ivory coast scored the first goal.
The coach school have changed the system to 442 rather than the Two midfielders we were playing.

Bring in Zaidu and push iwobi into proper ten role.

Iwobi is not a centeral midfielder.

The two wingers (chikuze and lookman) should have been sacrificed because they have spent nearly 60 minutes defending and have not managed a single cross all game.

Terem moffis pace(second striker) will have forced the ivorian defense backwards.

Your analysis is 100% spot on

It is quite unfortunate dat our coach never saw it dat way

Our coach wanted d match to go to penalties

because I can't understand his defending for 90minutes

Imagine just 5 shots and only one on target

A local coach of ivory Coast outclassed him

So dissapointed

For those attacking Iwobi

He is not a centeral midfielder,he doesn't have the tactical awareness and strength to cope with the job of a centeral midfielder.

He is a ten that plays just behind a striker.

It's like forcing Odergard to play in central midfield. He is going to be too soft and physically incapable of matching proper midfielders.

You people are complaining about what will not put food on your table. We are like prisoners in our own country. Some had to buy fuel to watch a final. No one is talking about the evil going on in the country. If only wishes can be granted I would wish all our leaders putting us in this mess die miserably.

No shame, despite all the embarrassment from other countries about we not being able to generate stable light, the governments will never do anything but to oppress the citizens the more. Bag of rice has risen to 72k, hunger is every where. Nigeria is hell on earth.

Congratulations to Nigerians, we have done well to be second position, human beings are insatiable, if other teams see second they will be grateful.... we should learn to appreciate little things
No bro we played trash all through the competition. No pattern of play, can't hold possession, can't make accurate passes. We can't even hold the ball for up to 20 seconds. Just playing jagu jagu football. If we had play better and lost I'm sure people won't be this pissed.
We were dominated from the beginning of the game to the end.
That's sad, bad coach with zero tactics.
