Nigerians should be encouraged to patronize Air Peace. Government at the same time should give it all the support including tax holiday to enable it compete favourably. We are all going to pay if we allow Air Peace to crumble. |

cedricksly: I understand your view point, the problem here is that the premise of your argument us not correct. The airlines did not suddenly drop their prices below market prices! Now please do a little research on the following timelines: 1. When and why did the foreign airlines block their 'low inventory fares in nigeria? - remember last year you could buy cheap tickets in Lome, cotonou, and younde, but not in nigeria? 2. When did the Airpeace announce flights to the UK and the start date? 3. Now AT WHAT DATE DID OUR OWN GOVERNMENT CHOSE TO PAY BACK THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OWED FOREIGN AIRLINES? AND THE EFFECT OF THOSE Airlines REINTRODUCING LOW INVENTORY FARES IN NIGERIA. If you research this, you will realise that things are not as they seem. I know what I am saying, I am an Aviation Lawyer. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Well, he came onboard with what he felt was a realistic fare, however, an industry filled with foreign criminals, were already enjoying exploitations of Nigerians and repatriating fat dollars to their countries in profit, of course, they'll fight back even if at the expense funding their operations from retained earnings pending when Air Peace is no longer able to complete, this response was expected though, but I bet you, Nigerians will be the ultimate losers. Today, we're still suffering DStv treatment of Nigerians. Since when did those competing criminals in the industry now knew they can flight at this present rate/fare? God continue to bless you Allen!!! helinues: |

helinues: It's not just a Nigeria thing The international aviation and ocean shipping business is "dominated and controlled" by very few powerful conpanies that have some sort of monopoly. In fact, it's worse in the ocean Shipping business. |

When things don't go their way, Nigerians will accuse others of wrongdoing and even go so far as to mislead or fabricate facts for the public. In the business world, price competition is not illegal, and it's actually beneficial to both buyers and sellers. As it is, Air Peace Airlines' fares are still significantly lower than those of its primary competitors, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. I have no idea why this dude is crying like a baby. 1 Like |

ryloy: But unhealthy competition is bad for businesses especially what Ethiopian Airline is doing to Airpeace by cutting down on their Airfares. Why did n't Ethiopia Airline start the Airfare cut in the first instances. This was an Airline that was working to be our defacto national carrier like the defunct Nigerian Airways |
Re: Foreign Airlines Are Underpricing Us - Alex Onyema by barinedan(m): 8:25am On Apr 10 |
In every business there has to be competition, and beside why should you, that is a Nigerian airline operator charge such exorbitant price? Is it not the same aviation oil others use that you are using? Or will you take a different airspace to London? |
Re: Foreign Airlines Are Underpricing Us - Alex Onyema by xperiencelove(m): 8:25am On Apr 10 |
If not for Air Peace, one way ticket to the UK would still remain over #2m+; BA was even charging over #3m and Nigeria pessimists castigating Air Peace now would still be defending the foreign airlines why they are charging so high. Then those nitwits are fond of saying 'tax this', 'tax that' made the fee high... Are those taxes not existing again? Did Air Peace removed those taxes for them? We Nigerians should just unite and fly Air Peace. Those foreign airlines have made 6 years profit in one years extortion us. Now they don't mind running theirs businesses with no profit for the next two years to frustrate Air Peace. |

mrvitalis: Does the guy look to you like someone that will chicken out. Part f the competition is what he is indirectly telling Nigerians so they can keep patronising him. You certainly didn't get the memo. He is simply doing some emotional marketing 1 Like |

Hahahah. Always knew you had a screw loose but today you made it obvious to all. Imagine when God is Good Motors was coming out- he should have consulted Ekene Dili Chukwu, GUO Okeke and all the others to permit him to start providing services to Nigerians. Or Etisalat should have consulted MTN, Airtel and Glo to permit it to come to market and be their competition! Lollzz. Only a fool will read this your post and take you serious from today. It's obvious you have done nothing tangible in this life as you are incapable of sensible judgement. Spending hours on Nairaland everyday is evidence you have no other source of livelihood than paid govt apologist helinues: 2 Likes |

Can Nigerian consumer protection players come in? The government can give Air peace a subsidy like a tax break if possible. |
Re: Foreign Airlines Are Underpricing Us - Alex Onyema by amaridigital(m): 8:32am On Apr 10 |
LegendHero: Government should step in and do what exactly? Bankroll him or offer Air ticket subsidy? He has been favored among all local Airlines already by getting the right to fly that route. Abegi we need more competition. What was he expecting? Other Airlines should not compete by reducing their own price so he would be the only one flying that route? 3 Likes 1 Share |

helinues: Haven't seen anyone confused as you are. So consistent in spewing trash. Reason why you are always at the wrong side of the wall. Yet you would open your gutters to complain about multi - choice, how they are reaping off Nigerians. So, if there should be an AIRPEACE in the satellite television service business tomorrow, you would want them to consult multi-choice, before bringing down the price? Ome would think you will take Glo and mtn as a case study, but no, you are not really about the competition or anything it, you are just being yourself. I know the route you are taking, even though you are being tricky about it, but i won't try to take you on a mud fight, that's one thing you are good at. |

mrvitalis: You no well. Government should step up and protect air peace. There is what is called aggressive monopolistic competition. A company can lower it price with zero profit in short run so as to chase out competition. Those without enough funds to sustain for long will faze out and leaving only one monopoly in the market |
