iPhone 4S:

The model number on the back cover is:
A1387 on the iPhone 4S
The front and back surfaces are flat and made of glass.
There is a stainless steel band around the edges.
The volume up and down buttons are marked with a "+" and "-" sign.
The device can support CDMA or GSM functionality.
There is a SIM tray on the right side that holds a "third form factor" (3FF) micro-SIM card for GSM functionality.

Please refer to the post above before calling to say you have an iPhone 4s you want to program for use with Visafone. It seems some folks have recently been scamming people by selling them iPhone 4 CDMA as iPhone 4s. They are not the same and iPhone 4s CANNOT be programmed for ANY CDMA network yet; but it can be unlocked for GSM use. iPhone 4 CDMA can always be programmed for use with Visafone Nigeria.

Check the model number of your device. If it is SGH-I535, which is Verizon model, then it can converted to GSM, any GSM network. If it is any other model it can still be configured for use with Visafone. Call, text and data working.
Regarding the distance, we can work something out, if you are really keen on it.
Let me know your decision.
