Yeap.I asked a close friend if she was on Nairaland.And all she said was its a stupid forum and they write rubbish there.I tried to explain to her but it wasn't working out

Certainly not. I have/get a different opinion from the people I discuss NL with.
Asides the insults and childish behaviour of some users, NL is a great forum.
Very useful information on almost ANY thing you want to know, good people who have intelligent conversations etc

NL is a good forum, no doubt. However, I think it doesn't have a good reputation offline (not all the time)...especially when mails were circulated in my place of work warning members of staff to be careful of information on NL.

yeah, somedays ago, i was at MTN office, oshodi....and the MD was just browsing with his laptop...then he entered NL..and saw the news then bout...the world richest pastors...he was like trying to show it to the workers around..buh they were lyk..is it Not NL....where they post speculations as news...and some of their news are nt true...i was really suprised dat day.

No I don't. But I've read too many false news on NL especially on front page. Also we had a career development training session recently and the speaker said, "Some of you don't even value your time.
