By refusing to host the tournament, Morocco has clearly shown us that North African countries don't belong to Africa. They prefer to be referred to as Middle East...........
So be it. We no want trouble makers in our continent.

By the end of the tournament in February, Equatorial Guinea will have scored a massive image coup and Nigeria and the other countries who chickened out will be left with egg on their faces. This was a prime opportunity to project Nigeria positively and display a leadership role on the continent. Imagine Nigeria being the country which bailed out the rest of Africa and put on a great show against all outside expectations. Imagine Nigeria successfully defending the AFCON trophy in front of 68,000 Green and White shirts in Abuja. Imagine the rest of Africa and the world looking up at Nigeria as it would have sent the most evocative statement about our confidence in ourselves and our ability to get things done.
Instead, it's a TINY country like Equatorial Guinea which will now bad mouth us afterward saying things like "What Nigeria dared not do, we did excellently."
When all of you will be complaining that other people badmouth Nigerians, you don't see how things like this create these negative pictures of us.
After we've gone around beating our chests about how we are Africa's first ever $500bn economy and the largest economy in Africa, ordinary 4 week, 4 city tournament which we already have the infrastructure to host, we choose to chicken out.
Country of loud mouth, big for nothing, unsubstantiated egos.
For me, hosting Afcon is not our priority for now. There is no hiding the fact that an air of insecurity pervades our landscape. It is better we right the wrongs in our land first before we throw our doors open for such a big event. Even if we are granted the hosting rights how many of us will be willing to go to the venues to watch matches, not to talk of how many Africans will be willing to travel here to support their teams? Charity they say begins at home. It is better that we are not showing any ego at this time. Let us re-build our land first, then we shall again become the toast of the continent. There is time for everything!

You are right but in as much as I would have loved Nigeria to shuolder the responsibility and bail out the rest of Africa as we have always done (even though these folks don't appriciate it a bit),I have equally got EBOLA to consider too. This is why I do not blame the Morrocan Government for refusing to host after their their plead for a shift of date was ignored by CAF. We thank Equtorial Guinea for accepting to host the event but CAF must ensure that this country has the capacity to effectively monitor and scrutinise visitor for possible Ebola signs or symptoms.

Thank God dat Nigeria will not be hosting the 2015 AFCON.... Nigeria succeeded in eradicating the Ebola virus and last month the WHO declared dat Nigeria is Ebola free nation. Honestly hosting the nations cup wul have bring Ebola into the country uncontrollably.Hmmm, the Boko Haram will have do everything possible to disgrace Nigeria during the tournament. Thank u God for not making Nigeria host wat will have be a disaster to this nation.

Siddon there and be doubting Guinea. Learn how they make pancakes for a better Nigeria

1 1/2 cups milk
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/3 cup caster sugar
25g butter, melted
Whisk milk, egg and vanilla together in a jug. Sift flour and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl. Stir in sugar. Make a well in centre. Add milk mixture. Whisk until just combined.

Step 2

Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Brush pan with butter. Using 1/4 cup mixture per pancake, cook 2 pancakes for 3 to 4 minutes or until bubbles appear on surface. Turn and cook for 3 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Cover loosely with foil to keep warm. Repeat with remaining mixture, brushing pan with butter between batches. Serve.

OR U CAN JUST BUY AUNT JEMIMA PANCAKE, ADD WATER AND SHIKENA!

Ebola is a red herring in this context. The same Morocco which refused to host AFCON accepted hosting the Club World cup next month, a competition with teams which also have fans from Ebola-affected countries who might travel to Morocco. In fact Spain currently has at least 3 Ebola cases and Real Madrid CF will be bringing a large contingent of Spanish fans to Morocco next month and the Moroccan authorities have no problem with it.
The simple fact is that Morocco is broke! They are merely using this Ebola thing as a smokescreen. Afterall Guinea which is heavily affected by Ebola has been playing its home qualifiers where? Morocco! Ebola is not the issue at all, you should have realised this by now.
Hosting the Club World Cup will bring in more money for them than the AFCON and they are also afraid of the effect of the Ebola stigma on future tourism revenues, not actual Ebola which even in West Africa is already disappearing. You are allowing these craft Arabs to pull the wool over your eyes.

lol... It is because I feel you are being sarcastic. Their national team was thrown out of the qualifiers for fielding an inelegible player. they co-hosted the 2012 edition with Gabon. Also, the only two times the Nigerian Super Falcon failed to win the womens nations cup was won by their female national team.
