1. Which variety is available?

2. How is it packaged?

3. What is your price per kilo?

Below are some of the pictures of the grapes produced in Nigeria. I am sorry for doing this late. I had to take permission from the owner before posting or sharing it on any social media because i appreciate intellectual properties. Photo credit goes to the amateur lens of Mr bode Oyeleke(Mr Grapes Nigeria) .
Pavore9:
@manitoba, why not post the picture(s) here as we do not want this thread to derail with people dropping only their email addresses, we want a conversation going.

How much does each pack go for? Strawberry is a visual crop and people are drawn by the colour, l suggest you try the packaging attached as that is what l see on the shelves of supermarkets.

It is truly inspiring, a proof that it is very possible in Nigeria, hope birds are not disturbing them. How big is his grape vine?

The man is currently using nets and physical monitoring to ward off the birds and the monkeys(lols). His grapevine is small and he is working on expansion if he gets finance or patnership. I think its the isabella variant that he is cultivating. His story is inspiring. He is a trained accountant that just had passion for agriculture and he was able to come off with that after years of research. Talk about the 'can do spirit' and i will tell you that it abounds in Nigeria.

Seconded. And it would even make the strawberries more attractive. It shouldn't be too expensive getting the transparent packs.

I am excited at this topic the same way i am about the many possibilities in Nigeria. This same question came to mind last week and my curiosity led me to this website: http://m.allafrica.com/stories/201502230070.html/. I was so amazed to find out that strawberry is cultivated in commercial quantity in a village called Chaha, near VOM, jos, plateau , Nigeria. A kilogramme is sold for less than 1000 naira most of the year but can get up to 1000 during period of scarcity. This last december, i also met a farmer who has successfully cultivated the purple color grape largelly imported by Nigeria in his farm at Offa, Kwara State. He is currently looking for people to partner with. I have also tried to convince him to let me put his experience in public domain like NL but yet to secure his conviction. Bet you, there are many great news coming out of Africa but yet undocumented. If anyone is interested at seeing the picture of the grapes cultivated in Nigeria, kindly drop your mail address here and i will send you the pictures. Let Africa be great again.

A pack goes for N250 - N400 depending on who you're buying from and your negotiating skill

There used to be a farm in Bulangu, Kafin Hausa LG area of Jigawa growing this sometimes ago. I was there. Though the farm is no more now but the structures are still there. Irrigation facilities was provided but I guess something went wrong. Even veggies were grown in nethouse. Someone from that area can shed light on what went wrong there..

In Nigeria here, we have a lot of possibilities.

There is strawberry seedlings available in JOS, 3- 4 weeks old seedling @ N150.
The interesting thing about it is that a seedling can give you extra 2 or more additional seedlings once it start fruiting, btw 3-4 months of age.
I have a friend in Jos who is into it.He can as well sell seedlings to anyone who is interested 08136650972
