But i have some concerns regarding my application process, first i learnt i have to apply 3 months ahead and from my resumption date of 31st of Ausgust i am already 3 weeks late, i have fill out the
online form yesterday and needs to visit the vfs.

Also from what i have read from previous post, does my age matters as im 30yrs and married with 2 kids, do i stand a chance of getting the visa ?

We don't know if it will be stopped or they are just silent on it because of the experiments of the Express Entry. I hope they continue it however in the mean time, I suggest PhD students can attempt the Express Entry.

Nice then... Attach the CAC7, then in the affidavit of support, your dad should clearly state it "I am the sole owner of the company (see attached the CAC7 i.e. Particulars of directors) and my son will acquire a substantial portion of the share allotments upon completion of his program". That has automatically taken care of those reasons as well.... Get the affidavit of support notarized by a notary public.

Endeavor to make that part very bold...

He could add towards the end... I anticipate a positive response as I long to see my son being active in this company as soon as possible upon the completion of his program.

I really want to get the concept of a notary public.

I feel this might help someone...

Tuition, board and other expenses should be made as low as possible within the range of 26-28k depending on your tuition fees. For instance, if your tuition fees is $14k per year, room and board which implies accommodation and feeding only can take $8400 @ d rate of $500 for rent and $200 for feeding per month and others can take about 3,500-4,000CAD....arriving at a total of $26,400.

Cost of funds available for stay will then be a lil above the estimated expenses, in this case, say 28,000CAD.

Making the estimated expenses very high in the range of 33-35k CAD puts undue pressure on the SOA and amount available for the applicant.

Darefestus: what was the estimated expenses you put in your 1st application and what was the value of your scholarship? Just curious cos its still baffles me till date why someone with funding got refused...

What school is this? You can always register for courses online before even leaving Nigeria.

It can help speeden the process, everyone does medicals at some point in the application. So with upfront medicals I.e taking ur medical test at the designated hospital before u are called to do so and attaching the e-medical paper they give u in your application online.

And voala, u just simply wait for a passport request...Its a risk worth taking if u are quite sure of the outcome.

You sound like a newbie, you should take ur time to cross ur Ts and make sure u have tackled any loophole in ur app before u submit. Read some pages from this thread to be sure.

Undergrad tuition is contigent on a number of factors but If you are going for postgrad, with the right profile, you may not even have to pay a dime.

Lol at gurus in the house. At this stage there are no gurus as vos brain don scatter. Your age don't matter and no one can tell u if you have a chance or not. Just apply with GENUINE documents, backed up with a well constructed grammatical blunder free sop and u are good to go.
It's not late you can still apply cos the max processing time us 8 weeks as per cic.gc.ca

I applied in May for my visa via online route but no decision has been reached.
There was a little gap in my employment then (in May) which resulted in me not including any employment details.
However, I have employment now and payslips for <4months.
I am really expectant of my initial application because it is pretty solid except the employment blemish.
Thinking ahead, if my initial application was "delayed", having my new employment details I plan on immediately reapplying.

But the conundrum is do I complete my Medical Test now before the VO makes a decision. For 2 reasons
1. If initial application is successful I'll quickly submit when requested by CIC.
2. Use it for pre-medical for my subsequent but immediate application to follow.

These two measures are ploys to accelerate my application decision.

House, please take time out of your busy schedule to share your views.
