The conditions are strictly written there those without masters should not bother applying.

The application seems too straightforward I didn't even get to upload a CV or cover letter and I don't know if it's because my profile from last year was on their system. I hope they get it sorted

We r in similar shoes bro. Am among batch-C -2014 dat wl pass out on 3 October and I applied for Trainee brewing wt Bsc Food science and technology. From what i learnt, we cn mk it to d nxt stage, but those with nysc cert and/or masters hv more edge (plus) over us. I equally hv two professional certification: HSE and project managemnt.
If dy call us for nxt stage, fine. if dy dont, fine.

Good afternoon Sir, i dont have a registered career account. To create it is what is giving me issues. Eg ''entered invalid security code''.
Re: Vacancies: Nigerian Breweries Graduate Trainee by emmahoney(m): 6:37pm On Jun 30, 2015
Some people have told those without masters degree the truth but you can still try your luck. Masters degree is not an added advantage but very mandatory!! Go back and understand the requirements, although there is no harm in trying; it doesn't take anything from you. Same positions were advertised last year and only those that have completed their M.sc/M.Sc in view were invited for the aptitude test. Frankly speaking, I applied with M.sc in view last year but I was not invited!! I thought the reason was due to the fact that I bagged my B.Tech in Sci Lab Tech and my M.sc in Chemistry. I still applied now!!

You are not totally right, you know why I said so? I'm not too sure; even the HR and the entire Management of Nigerian Breweries are not well informed!! They need little enlightenment; because SLT has nothing less than three areas of specialisation i.e Chemistry/Biochemistry, Biology/Microbiology, Physics/Electronics and some other options. This is not my first time of applying for jobs that might require a chemist/microbiologist, I have never been disappointed the way NB did. What NB lacks is awareness; they need to wake up. Come to think of it, why did I do my M.sc in Environmental chemistry and Pollution Control without running a PGD programme? It is simply because I am qualify for it!! Thanks for your input, it was magnificent and stupendous but not totally the situation on ground. I have made my points obvious( Even NLNG invited me in 2013 despite the fact that SLT was not listed and other science disciplines were listed). Finally, I know some people that studied those disciplines highlighted and were not invited last year, despite meet all the requirements yet they were not shortlisted. Therefore, I might be one of them. Even my guys that went for the aptitude test were not called for the interview despite asking them simple questions according to them. What I am saying is that not everyone that meets their requirements would still be invited for the aptitude test; get the fact right.

Dnt miscontrue my terse comment, bro. I belv the HRM echelon in Nigeria Brewery know whom dy want. dats y dy stipulated those qualifications. Nigeria Brewery, I knw, will never call u if u dnt meet their qualifications. Dy dnt even call all that meet their core qualifications, for nxt stage of d exercise. talk more of unqualified applicants. NB is private multinational FMCG company, nt NLNG (Government affiliated org.) dat cn bring on non-consummate applicants to write d test.

Mayb they considered BSc ahead of HND. I believe SLT is a term used in politechnics.

People are not always in terms with SLT, you shld have specified the area you majored in. Example: SLT(CHEMISTRY).

A penny for my thoughts.......

You have spoken well but SLT is not only a term in the Polytechnics in this dispensation. No fewer than Six Universities are currently running the Programme as a degree programme in Nigeria. Universities like UNIBEN, UNIPORT, LAUTECH, DELSU and others are into it. The fact remains that most people are not informed about this magnificent development!! Furthermore, I did not graduate from a polytechnic but a university where I spent 6yrs for a 5yrs(B.Tech) programme as a result of ASUU- FG phase off. In addition,I was able to run my M.Sc directly in UI@ Chemistry Dept because UI is well informed unlike others who are still trying to find their feet.

Bro, I have a friend in my church with a degree in business admin and applied for mech engineer position. He made it without any connections, in fact he came to share his testimony in church and that's what motivated me to apply this time. Qualified or not, God's grace is sufficient my brother.

let's presume the HR that viewed your application is among the majority ignorant Nigerians like me that perceive SLT as medical lab sciences. Believe you me many mistake SLT for med lab sci...so when next you are applying for jobs like this NBPlc job whose form doesn't ask for details of ur qualifications,do urslf a fovour by stating ur major in bracket.

@Gentlenaaz, you seem to know more than the people that have been applying for quite some time now. You might need to relax and study the job market while you are serving. Its not cast-in-stone!

My advise: whatever your qualification (science or engineering based), apply. There's no harm in trying

I don't like commenting on nairaland because of the altitude of some of the nairaland users. I was just tempted to follow this thread but that altitude of a typical nairaland users is still persisting. I know it all altitude!! I'm not too interested in this job for real; but a times man need to take anything that comes his way. I still prefer lecturing to some of these jobs; because of its job security and freedom to do other things( Business et al.). That was why I pursued M.sc not because of NB and others. Success to all of us...Peace and love...
