I've met a number of abused women, one in particular comes to mind...pregnant, beaten up by her husband @ least 2ce in the course of her pregnancy(that am aware of) and she confessed to me , once wen talking candidly, that she used to say exactly wat u 've just said above.
A close friend, divorced now , was also in the same shoes, she actually got her baby beaten out of her.
I would never have believed she would allow that.

My room was next to hers. Few minutes into midnight I began to hear eerie noises, certainly it wasn't anything close to sexual or romantic. It was a beating festival.

The feast started, halted and restarted at regular intervals until daybreak. When she got out in the morning, she wrapped her head with a scarf to cover the swollen face and her bruised pride. I think she was simply cautioned by fate to stay away from boasting.

My dear lady, nothing is new on earth. Ask for grace to escape the unpleasant things of life.

Okay. Don't get me wrong. I am not boasting alright, one thing I know is my relationship will never get to that point were a my partner will have to beat me up.

l gave 2 examples of several..n I never said it applied to all but more as a caution.
If u don't know of any woman in a physically abusive relationship then maybe u should find out from them why they don't do something/payback like Ebiz12 is mouthing off.
I gave those e.gs because those are ppl am close to and tried to find out how they could tolerate it and they all couldn't give an answer.

The thing is ppl won't get it until they see it happen. It's something psychologists can't even explain....and it ain't 'character'. That frankly is just naive to me.
