apart from valencia that arrived late to the party, rooney was the worst player of the pitch. an armoured tank would turn faster than rooney - if LVG does not sort out this striker problem, we would be lucky to score up to 40 goals all season. we were very poor in the final third.

I still don't think rooney is to be blamed, we didn't move the ball forward and it was getting frustrating for our lone striker, he had no choice but to come back and look for the ball, we were always going to the flanks and walker wasn't giving young any chance to make his crosses into the box, mata on the other hand was always trying to drift to the middle but couldn't get through and ended up going back, as a lone striker what would you have done

Not a bad start against a consistent top 6 team.

If we are going for a 4 2 3 1 formation dis season the two CMF(s) should be Morgan and Herrera with the CAM postition giving to mata.
During the man.u vs spurs game i expect L.V.G to move depay to the left wing, with mata occupyin de hole nd young moving to de right side (dat is when walker started getting the better of young) nd i expect de switch (due to depay being a better dribler dan young) but the stoopid mr.plato just removed memphis and persisted with young on the left wing, sumtimes i wonder if mr.plato is partially blind.

I still think there is a certain calmness Arrick brings to the side and his passing is still top notch,both short and long range.

But we need strikers. Rooney keeps falling back to join in the play and it's going to affect his output come season ending.

People don't know what they are saying. Kane received service more than Rooney but couldn't do anything. Rooney was in his position in the first half, when there was no much service, he had to drop occasionally. Memphis was also playing on same line with Rooney which made things difficult.

His overall play was okay, except the missed chance. Even Harry Kane went out of position. CFs mustn't be there all the time. Last season, Falcao went out of position several times, even RVP. Everyone must not be like Chicha.

I won't lie, Rooney didn't do well today He should've scored before walker closed him down. Carrick,and Memphis didn't do anything for me. Blind na suspect for that defence. MoTM is between Darmain and Smalling. I miss Fellani.

Yeah, problem is that we now have a DM[Schneiderlin] which is his position(Carrick) so Carrick has to be more mobile and we know he lacks that.

Young mostly over hit his crosses that there was nothing even Peter Crouch would have done.

He doesn't pin point his crosses. Last season, he would cross 10 before one can connect while Di Maria might have a bad game but got far more of his crosses connected.

Today Young had 0/6. I think Darmian had 1/2 connected.
