This is why I don't criticize the amount of money used to buy a player or join in the school of thought that our transfer activities are not well managed. When we lost Pedro, I was among the few who thought the club did not fail in the process. I said it was probably what they wanted.

When Martial came, the price never bothered me. When I saw his clip, I was reassured he will suit us, particularly helping us with what has been missing in our attack.

I think reality on the other hand is much in play. You can't buy a player for £36m or more n send him back on loan (according to Monaco's President) for a whole year, say wetin happen? The truth is that we bought him at a ridiculous price which no other club n including us would hv paid if the situation was not dire. He was a panic buy n AS Monaco made sure that we parted with a hefty sum b4 we could get him. Whatever the President is saying is just pure justification of the insane price tag they placed on him. No 19 year old should cost that much.
