The Ancient Art Of Shoushu Kung Fu . . . Click If U R Ready To Start Ur Journey by Nobody: 1:14am On Nov 26, 2015
I stumbled across a website that has actual teachers, and real daily kung fu lessons which will take about 3 years to master. Many of the greatest people in the world know one martial art or the other, they just dont show it off. It helps them in their everyday life, and gives them more confidence by giving them both physical and mental strength. You will learn how to attune your body with nature and become more fluid and free. You wont be EVER scared of being beat up again. As a woman, you will understand how to channel your feminine nature into your kung fu, and instead of increasing your muscular strength you will learn how to redirect your flow of energy, and use it to your advantage.

SHOUSHU KUNG FU was almost a lost art, but thanks to Weaver (the name of the site owner) it has been preserved.

Ehennnnn. . . . I have been taking the course for a long time (ITS FREEEEEEEE OOOO, I KNOW MOST OF YOU WOULDNT LIKE TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON BECOMING JACKIE CHAN, LOL). . . I would like to know if I can find a partner. . we dont have to meet, I can just get your phone number and we can track each others progress, encourage each other, share videos of ourselves practicing, and become friends. GROW together.
If you're interested lemme know cheesy

The Last Royal Fighting Art

The art you are about to learn was once only taught to Kings, Queens, Emperors, Khans, and those charged with their direct protection. It is thought to be the last of the Royal Fighting Arts.

During the time of the Qing Dynasty only a select few had been allowed to learn it. As the Qing Dynasty was replaced by the Republic of China the art continued to be taught but only among the very privileged. In 1949 when Mao Tse Tung took power and Communism swept over China, the art and it's practitioners were banished.

For decades the art was thought to be gone. It is still referred to by the old Kung Fu masters as "The Lost Art" or "The Secret Art". These masters had seen it practiced in their childhood by the elite martial artists of their time. But had not seen it since. Most assumed it had been lost forever

However, unknown to most, the art was preserved. Underground, in the dark realm of the Tong, it was practiced and passed on.

Because the art was such an incredible form of hand to hand combat it was an invaluable asset to the Tong leaders. Turf wars were fought constantly and always with hand to hand combat. Having the best martial art and the best fighters meant the biggest share of wealth to these criminal organizations. So again the art was guarded and only taught to those who were loyal. This war was fought on the streets of the Bay Area Chinatowns of California. Far away from the Communist Rule.

The Dai Lo

These Tongs remained in power until around 1913. After that their activity diminished. Yet a few still taught the art in secret. Small groups of young men led by a Dai Lo.

In the early 1930's Da' Shifu Al Moore Sr. was inducted into this secret society. Invited by his friend Jimmy Chin. The group was led by Jimmy's Granfather, Lu Chin. He was much younger than the others but was allowed to train. Training was brutal but he came from a brutal world. Each day he tested out his training. Fighting on the streets of depression era Emeryville. Emeryville was known as the countries toughest town. It afforded him as much fighting as he wanted. And he wanted a lot.

He trained with this group until his enlistment in the US Navy and was sent to fight in WWII

After WWII, through an arrangement with his teachers family, he traveled to China to complete his training. He was able to learn the complete system prior to it being banished in 1949. The Communist takeover of China was a death blow to the martial arts. Martial artists and the elites who practiced them were considered a threat to Communism. Practicing them was punishable by death.

An Art Known Only to One

Back in America he pursued other endeavors but longed for his martial arts. For over 20 years he taught only a handful of students. However without complete immersion in training, the rigors of the art were too much. None of his early students persisted. It was simply too difficult. For this reason it did not spread like the arts which are popular today. Like many times in the history of the art, it was known only to one master. Once again the art balanced on the edge of extinction.

A Modern Teaching Approach

In the late 60's he developed a teaching system by which the art became easier to understand. For nearly 40 years he perfected this teaching system. Making this ancient art available to his students. For decades the art thrived once again. But it was to nearly become extinct again.

The Passing of the Grand Master

On Jan 2 of 2002 we lost Da' Shifu Al Moore Sr. And with him we nearly lost his art.

After his passing there was a great struggle for control of the art. In life Da' Shifu maintained strict quality standards over the art. After his passing it succumbed to the pressures of commercialization and the difficulties of teaching this most sophisticated of arts. In many of the remaining schools the art was dumbed down for easier public consumption. It became only a shadow of it's former self.

Only a very small group of teachers continued to teach the art in it's true form. We are that group. Prior to Da' Shifu's passing in 2002 we made a promise to him. We promised that we would continue to pass down this most wonderful of arts. We promised that we would not allow our art to be tainted by the misgivings of greed.

This website is the result of that promise.

Are You the One?

If you desire to learn what may be the last of the Royal Fighting arts then you have come to the right place. Be forewarned. This is not like anything you would find in today's typical martial arts school. Nothing here comes without hard work. If you are willing to put in the work then we are here to help you.

We have built this site because we feel strongly that this art be passed on. We know that only through the power of the internet can we find that one person out of 10,000 that has what it takes. Maybe that person is you?

A Catalyst for Transformation

Along the way we have also seen the amazing transformative power of learning this art. We've seen people grow from meek to powerful. From uptight and ill tempered, to positive and productive. We know that no matter how far a person goes in the art that they grow as a person.

No matter if a person is just trying to get an edge on life or is trying to overcome a big obstacle, this training can be the catalyst for change.

What we have found is that the body motions learned in Shou' Shu' activate certain pleasure centers in the brain and provide a feeling of well being. Because of this we are able to take people who are having problems caused by negative emotional states or psychological trauma and help them find a better way of living.

This includes:

At-risk youth
People suffering from PTSD
People suffering from fibromyalgia
People suffering from depression
People going through addiction recovery.
This is done through learning what we call "flowing, focused chi". When a person moves with flowing focused chi their entire body is moving in an integrated manner. To achieve flowing focused chi the person has to be "in the body" and this causes a strong mind body integration. The mind actually "feels" the energy running through the body. We believe this to be the solution to a variety of negative human conditions caused by negative emotional states or psychological trauma.

Quite simply we are practitioners of a very rare and nearly lost martial art known as Shou' Shu'.

Because we realized the importance of preserving this great art we have gone through great lengths to do so.

Because we realize the many ways the art helps people to not only defend themselves but also improve themselves we have created this website. We offer our beginning classes for free here on this site. There is approximately one years worth of training offered for free on this site. If it turns out you want more then we can also provide more.

Many years ago we discovered that we could dramatically improve the lives of at-risk youth. We formed a non-profit to do so. The Sheng Chi Foundation This site is a part of that non-profit. We have programs in place in which we serve at-risk youth and direct them to better life choices. We do this by training them in Shou' Shu'. We have had amazing successes in doing this.

If you have an interest in learning one of the most sophisticated and effective martial arts ever known please join us. We'd love to have you.
