Good morning Sharoniah. Granny square pictorial is on page 15. If you got the crochet hook from the market, then it is the regular 1.5mm that is sold everywhere. It doesn't matter what number is on it, it is still the same size.

Meanwhile, you can double your yarn to add more weight to your work.

You don't have to give up. At least you even tried by starting at all. Just start again, and slowly too. If Lumiadee could do it, then so can you.

Hi everyone, compliments of the season.
Just wanted to share my latest work. The first is the South Bay Shawlette free pattern from lionbrand.com.


The second is a simple slouchy beanie hat done in hdc and fphdc in the round. No pattern, I just chained round my friends head and joined then alternated a plain hdc with a fphdc in each round till it was the length she wanted.

Been having wrist pain issues, so I took a break from crochet (thanks to a demanding customer with very specific ideas of how her crocheted cardigan should look!), and these 2 projects took 5 days to complete. Its good to be back!

I will be in Lagos for the holidays, can any of you lovely Lagos peeps tell me where to buy yarn please? I'm travelling with my hooks, thank God!

tatacherie and sharonah i think you r missing the correction Ynnk made after posting the tutorial pix.
this is it Hello Class, please work your granny square with the pictorial. I have omitted "ch1" from round 2 (my apologies) probably due to excitement. The correct stuff should be: R2: Ch3, * 3dc in next ch2 sp, ch2, 3dc in same ch2 sp. ch1. Rep from * 2 more times. In last ch2 sp, do 3dc, ch2, 2dc. Join with sl st to 2nd ch of initial ch3.



i believe round 2 is where u are facing some challenges. try this pattern out, and follow the round 3 on the pix tutorial.

Those were the same links my crochet teacher gave me that helped to improve my skill.
Crochet is very rewarding when you are patient with yourself, and its one craft where even mistakes look like part of the design.
