Truth, priests are transferred often, it's no big deal.

Next time he should leave politics for politicians.

Nice one but in my opinion, I would've aver that the church shot itself in the foot by transferring the priest almost immediately after the elections or accusations of bias by the opposition party.

Left to me, I would wait a year of thereabouts before making the move. We are all humans and s7bject to emotional feelings.

BTW there are priests who have been transferred to choicest locations outside Nigeria almost immediately after their ordination while some are left to roost in some remote village..... Are you saying it is the doing of the Catholic faith or more out of favoritism?

What an unreasonable attention seeking biased waist of writing material. Sharpen those materials well cos you will soon come back and apologise to God with "ukwa Ruo Oge ya odaa# type of book. I just feel bad cos foreigners will get to read such an absurd mid interpretation. They have ear but thy do not hear

This is the right time for father mbaka to split for good. If his prophecy were all true because they came to pass! What of those pastors that deceived GEJ and eat his money

This pure politics,pdp/igbo want to punish mbaka for favouring buhari over their own (jonah),nothing more than that, but God passed them all.

All these tantrums are to make the Bishop open up to the world that the people of Emene needs the services and anointing of Fr Mbaka.QED.

That's it! Ministry assets. I think he's humble for accepting the transfer. It it were to be a Pentecostal pastor... he'll start this own church sharp-sharp!

No one is stopping him from opening his own church...he should if he feels like and give us all a break about his "suffering". Like the letter said, there was a Reverend Father before him at the new posting..so what's his problem?? The church has been magnanimous enough to leave him in the same parish for 20 years..isn't that enough? If he thinks members will follow him to his new church, then he's on a long thing. Catholics don't roll like that

Father Mbaka is a Nigerian and like every Nigerian, reserves the right to lend his voice of credence to whatever issue he considers necessary as long as it does not contradict the tenets of the God he serves.

The bolded just shows your ignorance

The catholic church is the biggest political structure in the world.

Who contolled world politics in the olden days?

Just so you know, the pope plays more politics than obama and puttin combined.

Trying to separate the catholic church and politics is like trying to separate Goodluck and corruption .........IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!

Dude..this guy has been dabbling into political matters since 19kokoro and has been warned several times by the Catholic board, GEJ wasn't his first encounter. It's not about the prophecy but how he goes about it...very vindictive especially if he doesn't get what he wants. The pulpit was his campaign ground all through the election, there's a limit to everything. Other pastors had their choice of candidates/party but they didn't make it a weekly sermon at the Altar

The level of hate and recentment that is displayed by the igbos is not just against other regions, it strives among themselves. If ever the igbos have their biafra I anticipate a disunited nation broiled with unhealthy contest and disatisfaction sitting on a keg of gun powder to blow soon.

People site examples of Samuel or Isaiah as prophets that participated in partisan politics....I'd say its not entirely true...they weren't really partisan, they were more like diviner priests of our local deities...
if they have some message they deliver it to you (most often its privately) they don't make much fuss or become bigger than the source of the message.

They rarely have egos or feed in one....

More often than not they are more like admonishers...not protectors of the leaders.

check Samuel, Nathan or Isaiah very wella....they appear rather stern and aloof once they deliver the message.

here we have a prophet bloating on egos....from Abacha, to Jona and now Buha.

the priest should know that his sole purpose first is to put Christ, the Son of Man, at the very front.

Christ was self Effacing (note when the crowd wants to crown him?).....Mbaka should know that .

And only you and other selected few are over weighted with this burden of shame. Look, Prophet Isiah, prophet Samuel and host of other prophets were used by God to prophecy whom the kings of Israel will be and they were also used to forewarn them (the leaders e.g Saul) of any imminent dooms. Now I wonder why the fuss about the priest prophecying of the leadership position of his country And from his whole prophecy, you can depict that its a clear voice of God.
I am sure God will also be ashamed of you and others who have same mentality this your article bears. For him complaining about the position of his transfer, the man is merely airing his view which is very clear. A man of God of his calibre should have been accorded some privilege in the position of his transfer. He owns many assests and properties which has been a means of blessings to both catholic church leadership and it's members at large. I
know OP you weren't the author of the

Seems u didn't read the article properly and since you aren't a Catholic you wouldn't know or understand how the church system works. He is a priest like all others, with or without his miracles the church will keep growing, he can't get any special treatment. His actions are indefensible, there is no reason for any protest by him or any other individual on the transfer. There is no big deal about happened.

"A man of God of his Calibre" you say? There's no such thing in the Catholic church.

Catholic is different from other denominations. For ur information Fr.doesn't own any property,it belongs the church. Obedience is key in the catholic church and Fr.Mbaka knows...
