you can still apply for it if your date of interview is not so close... It's just a 24hr application process. you will get it the same day you applied for it. Make sure you obtain it because they were specific about its presentation during interview. Gudluck!

Please where is your venue? I received a text message from a number inviting me for YALI interview at Barrack Obama American Corner @Ajose Adeogun, don't know how genuine it is considering the fact that this high profile interview is supposed to be at US Embassy.

No, I didn't but when I called the number, he said I would receive a mail on Monday or Tuesday. I have never heard of Barrack Obama American Corner in Lagos, so it seems fraudulent.

A part of me thinks the text message I received is a Scam. Why is it that the embassy is not calling but a strange number sends a text? I have e-mailed the US embassy and I will check out this suspicious address..."corner". See the message I received some days ago and I am yet to get a mail or a spam. Next time when you come across such strange things, make a quick Google search and dont Do yourself by yourself.
Fear of the unknown is really an issue here for you my brother.

Anyway i looked around on your behalf and found Obama American Corners as stated in the text message sent to you.

It's a scam. Lagos isn't part of the states whr the interviews will hold

My 1st email came on the 21st January, then a text message came a day after, which was 22nd january. After some days I received the email for the venue and this evening today around 4:30pm I received yet another text message from the US Embassy reminding me of the venue at Jos.

So how did people's interviews go? How many interviewers? How long? What kind of questions did they ask?

Hello guys. It turned out to be real afterall. Just that the original address is American Corner and no Barack Obama included.
I did my interview today afternoon. Three panelists from the US embassy. One white male (head of the team), one white female and a Nigerian (I suppose). They introduced themselves with their English names.
Questions revolved around your proposal but be sure to know them well enough to receive twisted questions.
Lasted between 10 to 13mins. Checked my passport for identification. The head of team said they received 15k apps from Naija alone but approved 600 for the SF and will need about 100 when they are done.
He also said Washington has the final say after their recommendation.
Overall good interview, testing if you really are up to what you wrote.

My interview was done on the 3rd Feb, 2016 in Jos, and questions were asked based on my application.

50,000 applied across Africa, 15000 application came from Nigerians, 600 were chosen for the interview and only 100
will make it to MWF2016.
