UNDERSTANDING HOW INVERTER WORKS.

1. A power inverter simply transfers/converts your readily available DC power (frm battery, car cigarette lighter point, NEPA, solar system, etc) & turns it into readily usable AC power on d go or at home/office on loads (devices, appliances, etc) u would normally plug into a electrical outlets.

2. D wattage/watts of an inverter determines d no. or extent of loads (electrical items or appliances to power) u can connect on d inverter running. e.g.going by even just 80% max. power efficiency, a quality, original and full capacity 1500w inverter should conveniently run a load of nothing less than 1200 watts CONTINUOUSLY day in day out.

3. Battery is an electrical storage device. It does nt make electricity, it only stores it: just as water tank stores water for future use. Since, most inverters run frm batteries,, it's therefore d battery AH (e.g. 100Ah, 200Ah, etc) dat determines HOW LONG U CAN RUN OR POWER ANY GIVEN LOAD. e.gall things being equal, a new and fully charged 100ah battery wl run a 12v fridge rated 5Amp for nothing less than 20hrs b4 d battery drains down to 10.5v.

We'll be making series of typical illustrations for better understanding as time goes on.

Now to know hw long your loads can run, we need to know d exact power ratings of each load & d battery capacity being used wt it.

Pls do not hesitate to ask more questions or contact us for further enquiries..

Re: Check Out This Hi-Tech 1500w (1.75kva) Inverter Ups! by worldgee101: 3:00pm On Jun 03, 2016
It's nt just about buying inverters, but u need to know d nature of your LOAD as well as its WATTAGE and understand how dis works.

1. Resistive load: This is a load dat does nt require extra power before running. Just ON and run on a consistent power consumption. e.g. bulbs, laptops, fans, tv, decoder, etc. Example: a 25w energy bulb will still require 25 watts to start off and also run continuously.

2. Reactive load: This is a type of load dat requires twice or thrice its actual power to start off then later stabilizes on a consistent consumption, all other things being equal. e.g. Air conditioner, refrigerator, etc. Example: Air conditioner unit of 1500w will require abt 3000-4500 watts to start off before stabilzing to a consistent consumption of its actual 1500w.

3. Peak or Surge wattage: Max. wattage a load/appliance wl require to start off before settling down to requiring a smaller amount of power for operation (continuous wattage). E.g. a 1500w Air conditioner may have a surge power of 3000w or more to start off.

4. Continuous wattage: This is d wattage required under normal use, i.e. steady wattage running on d inverter at a time as long as it has loads on it and it is on. E.g. If a 25w energy bulb is d only load running consistently for 5hrs on an inverter, then d continuous power consumption is 25w x 5hrs = 125 watts.

In summary, whether running restitive or reactive loads, d peak and d continuous power consumption levels drawn by d loads (appliances) should, in total, be lesser than d inverter capabilities.

Please how long would the inverter last with a fan, 2 energy saving bulbs, 1 LED TV, 1 decoder and a laptop (before the battery runs out)
Our inverter is built to run for as long as your battery bank can last. In other words, it's your battery dat detemines hw long your load wl last not d inverter.

Tho' u didnt specify your type of fan (whether ceiling, standing, table, etc) all d same, going by your entire load indicated above, wt a standard 200ah deep dry cycle battery u can run between 8 to 10 hrs.

this device does it come with an inbuilt battery if yes what is the capacity of the battery, its it a UPS or an inverter, of its a UPS what is the battery capacity if its an inverter what is the maximum battery the inverter can carry, according to your indication is a modified sine wave, do you have pure sine wave

advice me i have 1 LED TV, 1 DECODER, 1 HOME THEATER

i need at least 4-5 hours of UPS since it's cheaper than inverter so what capacity should i go for and cost thanks

No, it doesnt hv inbuilt battery but auto charge sys of a 20A inbuilt batt charger. It's a modified model of power inverter wt ups function.

Dis inverter doesn't hv limit of battery. But we usually do recommend 1 to 2 batteries for dis particular spec so dat a user doesn't stress d capacity of d inbuilt charger. However, if u need to increase your battery base more than 2, then we also do recommend d need for getting additional external smart battery charger to complement d work of d inbiult charger.

Yes, we also hv quality pure sine wave inverters of diff. capacities. But we dont stock it cos of high price and less demand, so for now, it's only available on order. U can reach us on whatsapp for pictures.

However, going by d loads u indicated, any of our full-power 1000w or 1500w inverter ups is ok for u. Browse thru all our ads front pages our prices are clearly indicated. And wt a fully charged standard deep dry cycle battery of 200ah, u'll hv much more hrs than your projected 4-5 hrs. Btw, dis ya loads are nt even in d category of loads dat requires pure sine wave inverter, except u hv another future plan.

Hope we've bn able to answer your questions. Pls do nt hesitate to contact us for further assistance while we look fwd to do biz wt u.

Re: Check Out This Hi-Tech 1500w (1.75kva) Inverter Ups! by worldgee101: 5:01pm On Jun 14, 2016
tziz:
Please explain to me clearly the differences between a Modified sine wave and a Pure sine wave inverter and its effects on consumer eletronics...
Modified Sine Wave works well for most uses, and is the most common type of inverter in the market, as well as the most economical. Pure Sine Wave inverter produces an improved and cleaner current though, but they are considerably more expensive.

Pure Sine Wave inverters are more suited for sensitive electrical or electronic items such as laser printers, audio amplifiers, answering machines, certain specialized applications such as oxygen concentrators or other medical equipment, a pellet stove with an internal computer, motors, microwave ovens, bread makers with multi-stage timers, and variable speed or rechargeable tools, etc.

Except you wish to use such category of items listed above, only then you can choose a Pure Sine Wave inverter. Otherwise, if you mostly want to run lights, TV, laptop, computers, etc, a Modified Sine Wave inverter is just fine for your needs. All these will run good and you may only experience a slight interference such as lines or a hum while running some appliances

ADVICE: You might find it practical to get any of our small capacity Pure Sine Wave inverter for any "special need" you may have, and a larger capacity Modified Sine Wave inverter for the rest of your applications..

tziz:
Plus, can this inverter power upto 2 12v Batts(24v)?....
Yes.

tziz:
Can my 2.9kva gen set power it up to charge the battery effectively? Tnx.
Yes. And if God so blesses u later u can still get a higher capacity gen.

Thnks for your interest in our product.
