NTEL, the newly reintroduced telecommunication company operating is Nigeria, has unveiled more facts plans which consistent with them, are unlimited.
Although
the company says plans are being made to have its services in other parts of the country, most Lagos residents are still hoping
NTEL recently launched two (2) new data plans; a 7 day plan (Smartphone Data Weekly) and a monthly plan (Smartphone Data Monthly). Although i hear there is a 3 day plan.
The 3-day data plan costs N1200, the 7 day data plan cost N3000 while the monthly plan cost N10,000. According to the company, the data plans are unlimited. However, it’d be recalled that NTEL once stated in it’s policy that data will be throttled after reaching 3MB daily. It’s not clear if that policy applies to these data plans.
NTEL also unveiled new outlets which will serve as SIM redemption and purchase points for Abuja residents.
The new outlets are:
==> Zeph Associates Limited, Suite 003, Plot 139, 4th Avenue, Gwarimpa, Abuja;
==> Correspondence Limited, Suite AA6, Kirmu Plaza,
==> Plot 710, I.T. Igbani street, Jabi, Abuja;
Gaddison Phone Com. Limited, No. 40,
==> Ladoke Akintola Crescent, opposite Garki II market, Abuja and
==> Alennsar Infinity Com Nigeria Limited, Plot 1221, opposite Banex Plaza, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja.
I am sure we honestly cannot wait for NTEL to become available in Lagos, PH and other parts of the country.

What's the whole noise about this ntel sef? One month data for 10k?
A 80% of mobile data users find it hard to subscribe for 1500naira data dt will last them for one month and these guys are going for 10k? #1200 for 3days? Seriously? I definitely can only use this for those very few days i want to download large files. And blive me, the only ppl dt will subscribe to this shit are those using it for business and the extremely few that will download movies once us a while.
So if u ask me, their market is extremely low.

Your very wrong sir. In fact the rate at which people would subscribe to this monthly plan would make ntel increase to price to let's say 15k or 20k and people would still subscribe massively. This would open Netflix penetration to the Nigerian market and also expand the world of YouTube to Nigerians , no more I don't have mb to watch that video.
My only fear is this might put other data companies out of business.
I believe ntel is just using Abuja as a case study , we should expect the prices to go up in 3 months time to like 15 to 20k.

Is it really unlimited when it has data throttle after 3gb?
Remember windows 7 os is about 4gb. Some games are 4gb and above. So with your so-called unlimited data, u still can't download these files in a day.
Ask ppl dt have visited other countries how much REAL UNLIMITED data costs.

No,your phone doesn't have to be LTE compliant,your 3G network will work just fine,just that you won't obviously be able to enjoy the high-speed 4G LTE network speed,only the available 3G speed on your phone..

Don't misinform people. ntel, unlike Glo, MTN, Etisalat and Airtel, is a pure 4GLTE network. It doesn't support 2G or 3G at the moment. Only 4G devices that supports LTE band 3(1800) and/or band 8(900) will work on ntel.

you are soo wrong about this . it won't work. Infact,the LTE must operate on band 3 and 8. Not all LTE phones will work

Let's not forget about their fair usage policy. And if some "fair" policy is involved, then we can't proudly say "unlimited"
