Growing up was fun and I noticed that in those days, volkswagen, Peugeot and Volvo and Benz were the rave of those times in Nigeria.

But coming to present or modern times these brands, except for Benz, is almost regarded as a taboo.

Before Honda and Toyota, these brands were widely celebrated and used, especially Peugeot. Why has this current generation made it seem like anything aside Honda and Toyota isn't good or if you don't drive a toyota you don't know what's up? They make it seem like anything outside Toyota and Honda are so so fault prone such that you would be spending everyday with a mechanic.

Few days ago, I saw a 2008 Volkswagen Passat, the sleek and aesthetic appeal alone made me fell in love with it. I think someone was selling a tok of same brand for 1M+ but a 2008 Toyota camry tok will go for 2M+

If these other brands could serve our dads in their time, why not us, especially with the improvement of technological advancement?

I have been thinking it's best to go with a brand of car that is not commonly used which will save me money due to less demand than join the band wagon clique.

Experience folks in the house, what do you think? Should I stick with the likes of Toyota, Lexus, Honda of this present time? If yes, give me a good reason why they are better than using Volvo, Peugeot, Volkswagen.

In those days u could walk outside completely naked but now u are so ashamed to even go half naked outside. Same reason applies to those cars u mentioned, knowing that most Honda and Toyota cars are highly economical in terms of fuel consumption compared to those cars u mentioned; so people got to make use of their senses because they are now wiser, besides going with what is in vogue saves u money as their parts are readily available during maintenance/repairs.
