This is no script writing. It is possible. He can transfer 260k without a token on the first mobile. That is the mobile app, not the one you use on your browser that requires a token. It is more matured to do your proper findings before coming hard on any op

I dont use nor even have a token for this. I just need to provide a 4 digit pin(not debit card pin) to confirm the transaction.

Though i have not used it in awhile but i still believe it is possible.

Well I'm always skeptical about setting passwords (Passcode) instead of OTP or Token.

The recently updated GTB App has the option of either Passcode (Password) , OTP or Token for security to transfer money.

However other banks like Diamond Bank through their app grant payment with Passcode (Password) and I'm sure First Bank which the writer confirmed - Personally I feel that is not security enough cos once that is known and your phone is in the wrong hands a TRANSFER can be made!

Seems u are not up to date with how the onlin banking works these days. U are given the option of using token or a permanent pin f ur transactions. 1st Bank and GTB have dat option as at today.

The skepticism is unnecessary! Not all banks mandate the use of hardware "token" for transfer of funds. I use one of those banks.

Congrats OP on your survival of this terrible incident.

I only get email alert for most of my online banking due to experience and security reasons. The phone number tied to my accounts is permanently at home. So i see nothing strange in the op story.

My tot exactly, d story no really add up. Plus u were supposed to be charged for interbank transfer so ur balance is not correct. And by the way d kidnapper didn't see the Sms alert of the transfer? But if it's true Op u are really 1 blessed and lucky chap.
An advice to us all get a second account without Atm where u keep a large chunk of your savings and only transfer from it wen need be. Don't leave large amount in your account dat has Atm just incase something of dis nature happens.
