I would have loved to refer this guy to my lawyer and get him a lawsuit against Samsung if not for the fact that Samsung released a statement just few days ago and instructed that all those still in posession of the note 7 should power it down and disuse the device.

If this guy can prove this happened prior to the corporate statement then he has a case and in that case he should get in touch with me ASAP, otherwise, sorry!

I've always wondered why the world wants all functions of a powerful laptop loaded on a miniature Mobile device.

Alot of explosions have been recorded with smart phones these days. I think something drastic should be done to avoid an explosion that might be capable of destroying a lot of lives at same time.

Come to think of it, if this explosion was close to a petrol station, what would have been the fate of this young man

Let's be watchful and keep our smart phones aware from our beds when sleeping. Just keep it away from you while on the bed...

Don't plug a phone and go to bed mostly when there is no light. It could be dangerous...

Apart from the manufacturer defects, always endeavour to purchase ONLY OEM phone parts, esp batteries. Computer village boys adulterate a lot of these batteries and they could be very hazardous

Hmmm, 'explodes without warning'...this is an awesome feature that other OEMs need to implement in their upcoming smartphones .

This is disturbing, I use a note 3 and rarely stuck it inside my pocket, why ? The phone is about 5.7 inches definitely would feel uncomfortable, we have to be extensively careful as to the temperature we keep our devices to.

Exposure to hot temperatures and heavy usage could result to over heating which could lead to case like this..

I could remember the day I slept with my S3 beneath my pillow, Goodness when I woke up the phone was extremely hot and I saw a warning sign that the device temperature is has exceeded the threshold and the battery icon was blinking I quickly pulled out the battery and kept the phone under my fan for while. I thank God nothing happened to me.

We should be meticulous as to how we use this things to some extent they can be indispensable but we can manage these dilemmas.

PS: Don't sleep too close to your phone and don't expose your devices to hot temperatures.
