Hmn, i tried Zend and Zend2 frameworks then, i ended up running away, and I honestly cannot recall why. You did a great job with that stuff. |

1. Drupal for Large Scale projects. I love it because its flexible and scalable. 2. Wordpress for small / medium scale projects 3. Laravel - Beautiful code (Newbie) |

^^I appreciate your comment for drupal, few people really know how to use it. It is just not easy to learn (especially for people used to wordpress, joomla and all the regular CMSes). |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by guru01(m): 11:52am On Oct 19, 2016 |
dhtml18:Are you say drupal is better? Is it by force to learn? |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by Nobody: 12:08pm On Oct 19, 2016 |
No guru, drupal has its strengths and weaknesses. However, just like some people will use drupal for everything, some will use wordpress for everything. For me, because i specialize in many systems, i always decide the one to use based on my experience. For example, i will never setup a blog with drupal (despite the fact that i know that drupal has good blogging modules). And i will never setup a shopping website with wordpress (despite the fact that i know that wordpress has nice shopping modules). Note: i have my personal reasons for saying these things. But those reasons do not need to apply to other developers. So in the end, it still depends on the developer and their experiences. Despite the fact that I am a drupal specialist, the last drupal website i built was done like 5yrs+. And the last oxwall website i built too was that long. For the past 5 years, i have been using my personal framework to build stuffs. |

When building an Ecommerce platform, what is the best approach to follow? WordPress or Developement from scratch.? |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by Nobody: 6:01pm On Oct 19, 2016 |
I will go for development from the scratch - see the ecommerce solution using my framework here - http://cravings.com.ng/test/ |

dhtml18: It is lightweight. Would like to use that your framework. |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by Nobody: 7:16pm On Oct 19, 2016 |
Yeah, it is light-weight and very very extensible. If you can use codigniter or laravel, you should be able to use my framework. It is just documentation that is killing me, i dont seem to have time to do that. |

Nay, just regular application testing. |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by kodewrita(m): 7:46pm On Oct 21, 2016 |
Codeigniter. Why? Simplicity (because I am mainly a hobby coder). I don't usually want to have too many functionalities inbuilt for me. That way I only add in libraries I need instead of carrying baggage someone put in place because "you may need this". |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by Nobody: 8:33pm On Oct 21, 2016 |
kodewrita:This is exactly why codigniter is my default framework rather than laravel, yii and those others that have all kind of stuffs. I even get to write my own authentication library in CI. |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by silverprince413(m): 2:11pm On Oct 29, 2016 |
dhtml18:lol. the framework can do anything web related. its more powerful than CI and close to laravel's level, although it is faster and have some edge over laravel framework |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by Nobody: 2:35pm On Oct 29, 2016 |
Ehn, faster than LARAVEL!! This is serious, you will need to do a benchmark test for us to see o. |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by FrankLampard: 3:37pm On Oct 29, 2016 |
Lolz. Just do a benchmark test for us, before the claims. 2 Likes |

Yeah like that, but that .htaccess tends to have different behaviours on different servers (but on most linux servers, it will behave in exactly the way it does on localhost) order dissertation online |

I use WordPress for regular sites and blogs. I also use OpenCart for E-commerce though you need to buy some plugins. As per frameworks, I had a brief stint with CakePHP, its such a slow framework though there are ways to optimize it. I just started studying CodeIgniter. Heard its fast and lightweight and also easy to learn. Pray I would stick to this one for now |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by Nobody: 7:00pm On Mar 21, 2017 |
I am a codigniter user too, in fact i love it very much. |
Re: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by talk2hb1(m): 7:03am On Mar 22, 2017 |
mcqwerty:Have you tried CakePhp 3? Instead of going the CodeIgniter path, I will suggest you try Laravel because you will want to migrate to Laravel after learning CI. |
