Lionel Messi opens massive lead over
Cristiano Ronaldo in Ballon d’Or voting

The 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or has
been announced by France Football.
While some players felt disappointed not to
make the cut, others were really fulfilled.

But in the end it would come down to just three
final candidates.
The last three is very likely to be Messi, Ronaldo
and any another player. We all know the race
would be down to just Cristiano Ronaldo and
Lionel Mesi.
And the fans of both players have strong
arguments while either Leo or Ronaldo should
win it.
However, the organizers of the award France
Football have done an online survey.
Over 50,00 votes were casts and it shows Messi
taking an astronomical lead over Ronaldo.
The Argentine gathered a massive 60% while the
Portuguese had only 13%.
Representing the Premier League was Mahrez
who had 7% of the votes. However, Ronaldo fans
need not panic as voting is done by journalist
from around the world.

Note that the survey included all the 30 players
shortlisted.
