Getting A Gabon Visa by fejeerow(f): 10:09am On Feb 19, 2016
Hi, I have been looking for info on this site about getting a visa to Gabon but couldn't find any useful info and I decided to open this trend to ask few questions.

I have my friend who is on a 2mnths contract job in Libreville and he is inviting me for a one week or weekend visit depending on me and he is about to book ticket.

I realised that Nigerians need a visa to go there...is the visa embassy in Abuja or Lagos and what do I do to get the visa..like required documents.
How much does Gabon visa cost and is it some tin I can get in one day cos I m assuming getting a visa to Gabon shouldn't be hard as many people don't really go there.
Pls I all be grateful if my questions are answered as it is urgent. Thanks

Gabon is one of the most difficult country to get an entry visa so you need to erode the assumption of people do not really go to the country from your mind ...

Your friend could use the company he's working with to get an entry visa or you can apply online and you will have the visa at the point of entry .

Yes most people usually get the visa at the point of entry but you must have processed possibly an entry permit which would be presented before you are issued a visa . Also for entry permit , you will pay 75,000xaf before the visa is issued .

Your contact in Gabon should be able to guide you on this .

The process for obtaining the e-visa is:
1

Step 1
Select e-Visa Type

Step 2
Fill the form

Step 3
Add documents

Step 4
Submit

The visa application form should be completed on-line and include a copy of the passport data page, the date of validity of at least six months and a color photograph from less than 6 months of size 35 * 45 mm and has neither overexposure or underexposure. It must be properly mixed without shadow on the face or in the background.

The visa application form must be correctly fullfilled. All information on the form must match passport data.

The applicant for e-Visa should not travel before the arrival date specified in the registration or take the risk of traveling without having received the Travel Authorization Receipt. Applicants who do not respect these instructions will be drived back in accordance with Law N°5/86 of 18 June 1986, laying down the admission regime and stay of foreigners in the Gabonese republic.

E-visas are granted for these durations:
From one (1) to three (3) months single entry, the cost is 70 EUR or 45000 XAF + 15 EUR as file processing fee.
For six (6) months with multiple entries which cost 185 EUR or 120000 XAF + 15 EUR as file processing fee.

Payments are made on arrival at the delivery of the e-visa sticker

The application processing time is 72 hours, after ETA reception. ETA request cannot be processed in a shorter period.

Some countries are exempt from visas under bilateral agreements with Gabon, kindly check the exempted countries list in advance before submitting an e-visa request.

This e-visa, as for other visas issued by the Gabonese Republic may be extended by going to the visa department of the Directorate General of Documentation and Immigration (DGDI) in Libreville, under the following conditions:
A visa of one (1) months may be extended for two (2) months;
A visa of two (2) months may be extended for one (1) months;
A visa of three (3) months is not extended;
A visa of six (6) months is not extended;

Which other process do you think they went through?
Re: Getting A Gabon Visa by TokyoBulls(m): 11:02pm On Dec 10, 2016
You need to submit hard copy application and pay the fees to the embassy in Abuja. Requirements are Letter of Invitation (Original copy), Letter of Introduction, Flight ticket (actual ticket and not reservation), Copy of ID Card, Copy of Yellow Card, Two passport-size photographs and International Passport. Visa fee is N80,000 (was N75,000 until last week) and N30,000 (for non-appearance for submission of application and collection).

You have to go to their Embassy with the requirements. They do not get paid after visa is approved. They get paid before. Same if someone is submitting and processing on your behalf
