Can you introduce any character from your latest story?
I stumbled upon this on one of my facebook groups and it was really great. Introduce any of your character to see how real they sound. If after introducing him/her/it, you feel like it’s a mannequin being introduced, well…
Okay. Here is mine, a character from ‘A body in the dark’.
***
Hi, I am Alice from Steve’s new book; the second narrator so to say. I got into this town just two months ago and I am still amazed by how fast I had settled in, partly due to frank, my partner’s help. He was this intelligent guy from Akwa ibom. Except for his crazy love for coke, everything about him is good. He even almost made me forget the reason I left my formal station for a more peaceful area that won’t put me on the map.

We had just returned to the police station after our routine street patrol yesterday morning.( We had no cause to use the siren; they were rarely needed in this area of the city. We only dealt with a few petty thieves and thugs who seemed more afraid to raise their cutlasses than shout. So you see why I worked my transfer to this area?) So, the D.P.O called me into his office yesterday for some ‘important instructions’. If I wasn't a little tall, I would have shrunk into the chair I sat on before him. For all the gratitude I could offer, he took his eyes off my chest and passed me the brown envelope. Its content did not only put me back on the map I dreaded, it also uncovered my family secrets and changed all I ever knew to nought.

as many as you want, as far its not going to confuse someone.

there's this guy I would have loved to meet from another fenced heart. that guy in the dark with the baby. so bad we never got to see his face.

Lol...

For the characters, you can't be confused. You said stories na...

And I take all my characters seriously.

As for that guy, funny enough he was a lose end. I don't know him also. But I'm trying to make him John in the part two. I hope I'm not spoiling John's reputation.

I'm Bidemi Adeoti. I'm presently in an induced coma. I'll wake in June 2017. And I won't remember anything from my past. So, let me quickly tell you about myself. I have had series of issues that haunt me consistently. The latest being that some men haunted and killed me because I created a car that uses water instead of petrol. In this my induced coma, I'm seeing a future where water would be a problem- lack of it and abundance of it. My dreams come true. But as I said when I wake I won't remember who I am or anything.

Most people around here call me Davis, just Davis. Those who knew more were either top government officials who were looking for the right man to pull them out of a puddle or some random kid who wondered too far to dig about my past, and most of them don’t end up as my friends. When not busy in my library during the day, I am usually lost behind my piano, unconsciously playing sad notes.

My nights were usually filled with nightmares; bottled memories trying to burst out within me. Being a private detective was the only thing that relieved me, because I got into it to honour someone’s wish, probably to appease a soul.
When the news about Barrister Johnson’s death broke out, I knew they were going to come looking for me. The police always were in need of my help.

Hi guys, I'm Grace Ademola. But my name has changed to Grace Adeoti after I married Bidemi Adeoti. Great waters had gone under the bridge as they will say. But I must hint you that I poured a lot of water too under that bridge. Of recent I met officer Yemi, a police officer whose life had been interwhined with mine and he told me he saw someone that looked like my husband. Though Bidemi died last year, I want to be sure he is not the one.

Whatsup. I'm Racheal. Just Rachael. I don't know who I was because I had an induced amnesia. The only information I have about my past are in my dreams. I was kidnapped when I was just thirteen and I became the first child assassin. I had successfully killed a lot of people and had made it look natural. This is Nigeria. No one knows better. I had trained a lot of assassins. And I'm tired. Now, I have written two plans. One, to take over the world as a Nigerian. And two, to make yoruba the only language spoken in the world.
But right now, my aim is to cart away billions of naira from Chief Ajanaku and escape a wrath that is coming on Ibadan and fortune city.

Hey.. I'm Carl Cokers. I don't need to be told I'm handsome. Of recent, we wrote an exams and we await our result. But somethings happened that begin to make me question the history of man. Yes! This is the 4078 and we were told the world the world was invaded by aliens but I don't think so. I think something happened here. But what could it be I don't know. Yet, my big question is why is the world speaking one language.

A Character from ' Keeper of Dunamisk'

Hey... I'm Lila. I just made a mistake. But before things go wrong let me tell you. I woke in a city. And I've been communicating with a voice called 'The boss'. I met and fell in love with the first man in this city, Andrew. Now, one of the andriod robots we were asked to watch over came to the refridgerator room. Now, he asked me to open the refridgerator The boss asked us not to ever open. If I open it, I will have the information he has. I want to know where I came from. The boss told me I came from his invention but what if he is lying.

I used to be James Adetiloye some years ago, a young businessman with a thriving bank account and a father-figure personal assistant who haven’t given me enough space to miss my father’s demise. I was going to propose to my fiancée the same day she was killed. I had waited long for her in the restaurant before I witnessed her death, right through the window. My P.A claimed that I was in shock for days and spent almost two weeks in the hospital.

Even after I had changed my name and career years later, I couldn’t change my heart or wipe away my memories. The scar was permanent and for many years I haven’t found anyone worthy of taking her place in my heart. I was getting more comfortable living alone with her memories until I found her at a friend’s party, alive. She was now engaged and seemed happy than I could ever be. Worst still, her denial of our past relationship was blatant and that was the last I could take. The scars were open again, much deeper.

Now, she needed my help. I was reluctant, but I still had to do something. I needed to find out what happened back then. I have many questions to ask.
