I doubt the possibility, it's just 3 invitation rounds and 94 slots left for the 2016/17 financial year.

Congrats to Bnimz ,Vinsmuft, Baenoz, Bolaobby for the ITAs.

I don't understand this please. What will happen after the completion of this around? When will the 2017/2018 financial year begins ?

I submitted my CDR last week Thursday. All thanks to catchdwind4rmkd who helped me proof read my career episodes.

The figures I gave are only specific to Engineering Technologist occupation. Are you assessing as an ET? If not, you do not need to bother yourself.

Hello house,
I was told that I can get a yellow fever vaccine shot and the card at Port Health close to the Intl airport, Lagos. Does anyone know if they open on Saturdays or only on weekdays?
Thanks

Hi nkechima, if you still need the assistance, I would suggest you send the lady who helped me a PM to see if she can assist you. Search for Adesolami36 here and on the student visa thread.
Thanks @cuteannie02
I over need the assistance. If I PM her she might want to get back to me via mail and since I no longer use my previous e-mail, It might be a little bit difficult to see her response

You have to step up your game fast. From the last draw http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil/1-february-2017-round-results you can see that Mech Engrs have been waiting on the queue since 2nd November 2016. From two previous draws before http://www.border.gov.au/WorkinginAustralia/Pages/18-january-2017-round-results.aspx you will see that the date of effect for Mech engrs is 1st Nov. So the queue has progressed by one day only! That tells you that you that applied Jan this year have no hope unless you can increase it to 70 points before the next draw as there are only 157 slots left in the current programme year for Mech engrs.

Ha... I don't think there's anyway to increase cause i used IELTS of 20points.
I hear Mechanical Engineering might be taken off the list next year hence my desperation. Any information on that?

I would appreciate a candid assessment of my chances here.
Thanks
Bsc/Msc - 15 points

specify how many years of experience after the MSC, ...

age 29 - 40 spans three Age point categories... from 30 to 20...

you'll have to be A LOT more specific

To be candid, I dont see the principality or power that can take Mech off that list next year... Cos,
1. Its already lumped with two other professions
2. Its a primary engineering profession... not a derivative like Electronics or petroleum
3. The ceiling is still high.. last last dem go decrease the ceiling..
4. EA is trying very hard to keep Engineering occupations on the list

BSc- 15 points
Age- 26- 30 points
IELTS - 8- 20 points

My fear is this One Nation party and their wahala. They are troubling Turnbull's coalition and i fear they might be inclined to doing anything to please then and keep Queensland.
I hear EA is fighting hard as well and i hope uts tgere. Cos if its there in 2017/18 then i kbow it will reach my turn definitely after July.

Please, has anyone with a private university degree been assessed by either EA or ACS?. I heard they might not consider a private university degree to be equivalent to AQF. I would appreciate any input on this.

Thanks.

pleas ACS IS CRAZY THEY GAVE ME A DIPLOMA FOR MY BSC . I FINISHED FROM A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY TOO

Hello house,
Please what does Occupation in NEC Category means, i dont seem to understand them very well.
My Ogas in the house, kindly help me shed ligth on this.

Example:
Not elsewhere classified (nec) categories are used for known, discrete occupations which are not separately identified in ANZSCO Version 1.2 because of their lack of numerical significance in Australia or New Zealand. The occupation titles listed under nec categories are illustrative of the scope and range of occupations included in the nec category.

I am considering this:
ANZSCO 313199: ICT SUPPORT TECHNICIANS NEC

(HND Comp. Sci., 10yrs experience)

Thanks

Please let us connect we are in the same category .....lets talk please if you can connect with me

Guru in the house. I need some clarifications o. When will another year calander begins? The current one is for 2016 - 2017. Which month will it end? Also, what would happen to the applicants in the pool especially those on pro-rata?

The country's financial year ends in June and new year begins in July.

If the Occupation remains on the list in the next financial year, the applicants in the pool remain on the queue and get invitation in order of EOI date or score depending.

This info is for those of us who is looking for a way around $ wahala.... I just spoke with a guy who is willing to help but his rate is on the high side #390 to $A 1. According to him, his bro in UK will do the transaction through worldremit while you pay into an account here in naija.

Tell the guy to keep his dollar (God will provide help for those who need dollar).
Tell him I said what he's proposing is evil, greed and above all wickedness.
The picture I attached to this post is world remit's exchange rate at the moment. Some Nigerians are using dollar scarcity to deal with fellow Nigerians using "help" as a disguised word.

Actually, people don't really use worldremit anymore as there are other platforms that offer better rate at no transfer charges.

Although the 390/$A is ridiculous but two transfer platforms as at yesterday offered 337/$A

People don't use world remit like before because their rate is too low. Other platforms offers 335 or more with no charges
