To all the people into poultry business, please how much do you sell your 6 weeks broilers to market women/cold rooms? I am in Ibadan and want to sell four of my 8 weeks broilers today and just want to have an idea how much they are worth in the market. They are 8 weeks, but are like the size of well fed 6 weeks broilers.

What do they weigh? The market women follow looks.if tall and good combs they buy 2500. The Coldroom follow kg.they buy live weight at 550naira per kg.

Please, I want to learn. I am tired of dealing with market women and having to argue price all the time. I want a more definite arrangement where I know that if I take a 2kg live bird (whether Noiler, Cockerel, or Broiler) to the processors/cold rooms, I would get such and such amount. Thanks in advance.

The processors are more defined n organised.they buy at 550naira per live weight.must weigh 2kg minium.
Ish is,they buy large numbers not few.mayb u process yourself n sell to end users if small numbers

j bosco buy from farmers at 800 per kg I believe u are not a farmer when it comes to broiler farming I can tell u am an authority I raised my bird for 42days I get 2.3-2.5 kg live weight I process and sell to major eateries that you know in lokoja if you have many birds are u going to be selling in pieces so that u can sell at 1000 per kg pls don't confuse people on pricing

i am in enugu, i had serious issues with supplying frozen food stores who sell ur goods and refuse to pay. so i hadd to change mood of operation and start my own frozen food merged with the production, now i have formed really functional alliances becoming a frozen food dealer and i think i am loving it.

6weeks should be 1700 last..
