This is what happens when you understand that any position or status you have has more usefulness than its face value. Ooni could have sat in the palace like every other king , but no, he recognises the enormity in the kingship bestowed upon him and the fact that he can use it for many things which include: fostering unity (his fraternization with other kings even those far lowly than him), enhance business through youth engagement and tourism , exporting the black culture and religion, and also religious unity hence his multi-religious stance despite being a staunch traditionalists. We need leaders like him who can think outside the box. If you like call him waka waka king, he is representing the country than his peers.

Every Yoruba Obas used to cover their faces with beaded crowns in the distant past - now they are moving with the times and blending modern and traditional.

Not like an Oba somewhere wey him subjects talk say no dey comot for palace.
By so doing becoming a Palace Egungun. grin
