You created a thread to show the beauty of Kenya, in that same thread stating dirty facts about Nigeria. How ironic?

You can in your little way promote the beauty of Nigeria and stop waiting for some leaders to that for you. Start by being the change you want
hahah! please shift! The Americans I met told me they will visit Nigeria soon, I have done my part...waiting for yours!

adam failed because of useless eve.

Wrong!
Adam was stupid to differentiate the right from the wrong.
Eve did not force him to eat the forbidden fruit, did she?
Adam made his own choice and he paid dearly for his poorly made choice.

BedLam you messed up when you said there aren't 5 stars hotels in Nigeria

Shows how little you know of this country

What I can agree with from your photos is that Nairobi is neat

We in Nigeria lack maintenance culture

But in terms of beauty and infrastructure many Nigeria cities beat it hands down

Mind you population density is also a factor

My deductions...Nairobi has more Malls than the whole of Nigeria. I kid you not!

At a point, you'd think this is India because there are a lot of Indians, for the fact that they have "BANK OF INDIA" here should tell you a lot.

The best night clubs are the ones where Nigerian songs dominate.

Every Nigerian is often seen as a rich man or woman.
We are Kenyans mate. Not Indians, been here for generations

@Pidgin,I doubt if you have ever stepped out of naija to experience life outside.I mean in a peaceful country and not all these racist or war zone countries.I have lived in different countries and i can boldly say that Nigeria is lacking in so many ways.A country you cannot boast of security, sleeping with fear of robbers or kidnappers.A country you cannot come out to relax outside or within your premises upto 12midnight without fear.A coumtry where nothing works,no law or justice, corruption and nepotism trolling everywhere like no man's business. You are talking trash and asking silly questions if our forefathers didn't live comfortably without all these basic amenities but you forgot that Naija wasn't like this in their time. Then there were zero cases of kidnapping and less of stealing e.t.c.Nigeria is blessed among countries in the world everyone knows but our bad leaders have made living uncomfortable for us depriving us of the basic necessities of life, something some of us are enjoying in other countries so why won't i stand by the truth.Pidgeon or pidgin stop all of those blind arguement and undeserved patrotism.

I agree with you. Nigeria is one of the world's worst places. No amount of patriotism will change it.

Let's make this a lesson for all intending to become political leaders on this forum.

When you and your political party becomes greedy, your indigenes, town, state and nation would turn out to be the mess Nigeria, the once upon a time Giant of Africa has turned out to be.

Over 50 Years ,yet we struggle extremely hard to attain 5000 MW stable electricity. Not because we have not the accumen, but sabotage, selfish interests, ethinicity and excessive greed would not allow such feat become a reality. Imagine the billions in dollars and Naira stolen by individuals who are less than 100 in number. Not even Mugabe of Zimbabwe stole as much as these Nigerian bastards in political offices.

There can be no sustainable infrastructure if adequate and people friendly security structures are not in place.

Who would, in their right mindset be willing to invest millions of dollars into a society where kidnapping for ransom and satanic ritual, day light armed robbery and murder, unfriendly multilevel taxing system, high level corruption, fraud, sabotage, human rights abuse is the order of the day.?

How many diasporans could wholeheartedly vouch for their family members back home, overseeing their various projects successfully?.

You need to step out of our shores to observe other African countries how they, queitly taking giant strides in making lives liveable for their citizens and you would wonder what bedeviled us as Nigerians.

Recently Ghana, a country's population less than 2 million, just implemented free education system at primary and secondary school levels. I saw that on CNN yesterday. And equally working on various systems to be at par with those ahead of them. Its tasking to even get Jamb registration back home for our wards.

Kenya is indeed a beautiful country, but it took some set of individuals in government to say ' you know what, let us set aside our tribal differences. How can we place our country on the global map for the right reasons.Besides us been seen as a safari country, animals and jungles'.

Kenya saw the potentials in tourism. ( Uyo and Cross River state have same potentials). They built and sustained old existing tourist site, voted sufficient funds to build more tourist attraction site, encouraged their youth in sports and athletics( who can beat Kenyans in marathon?). Furthermore their security system make their people feel safe at home. When Al-shabab struck at the mall, the world rose to the defense of Kenya.

When you visit this countries, ask questions ,observe people's mannerism, and perhaps we might regain our lost glory.

Have a wonderful day.

There are things one take for granted here in Kenya that is a big issue back home in Nigeria. I live and work in Nairobi, unfortunately would not exchange living in it with any city in Nigeria though we all have what we look out for when settling down in a place thus Nairobi suits my pysche within the African continent.

Nice post @BedLam.

I want to ask.

1. What is the current inflation rate in Kenya if any.

2. Are Cats prosecuted in Kenya just like most Nigerian's do out of their beliefs?

3. How much is the Kenyans currency value to ours.

Cats are totally loved here smiley Only a witch would hurt all that prettiness cheesy

What does "very, very, very, very" mean? Why not use "very" once?

What stupidity?

We praise Nigeria when it should be praised but we tell the truth all in all.

We remind foreigners that not all Nigerians are scammers.

But we do not lie or polish what does not exist.

As for your signature that says the most stupid people on Nairaland are in the politics section, have you ever visited the romance section?

Romance section is full of kids...Nothing to write home about. And for the very very very very,I typed that comment in anger. Whatever I typed there reflected my mood at that time. We are our own problem in this country.

well, i like the fact that you showed good parts of Nairobi which only made up of 5% of the city, after going through your posts i realized that u have been scammed to believing that Nairobi is "so nice",i wont blame you rather i will push my blames to the marketing strategy of the tourist boards of Kenya which is showing people the very good parts controlled by Indians and whites while avoiding places where majority of the people leaves.
thanks for ur post.....I was actually thinking ur thought knowing fully well all d strange and dirty stories we have been hearing about kenya .....Kenyans actually look very impoverished compared to Nigerians..... d OP only went to Nairobi and started hipping praises...... someone can come to Nigeria visiting only abuja and hip so much on Nigeria whereas its not so
