You are wrong man, schlumberger has upto 23 segments. Trust me a new entry level permanent could even earn way more than that. Depending on your segments and contract. Segments such as westerngeco/PTS etc Well he or she wrote Schlumberger 500k, I am aware that those in wireline can earn more but , when u write 500k, it just means that's the base or basic, not saying that's the highest u get my drift? 1 Like |

Schlumberger wireline department wont pay entry level Field Engineer/specialist 500k. 500 what?! You'll start earning something close to the quoted amount after you have been "broken out" and that's you must have gone for some jobs both at the blueBase and on the rig unsupervised. You'd be entitled to rig allowance in form of JOB TICKET PERCENTAGE. A percentage from a JOB may fetch you close to or over a million naira. Remember: You are as good as your last job. takenadoh:

The departments you called segments are actually called Product Service Lines (PSLs) ..and NO! You cannot earn that as a new entry engineer or specialist in any PSL. horlando30:

singlessubway: if you are looking to get an idea of how much some popular Nigerian companies pay their entry-level staff (i.e. newly employed fresh graduates), then you’re just on the right thread.
Read on to see the exact figures that these companies pay. Bear in mind, however, that the information on this thread is subject to sudden change, so some figures may no longer be correct. In addition, even though we’ve tried our best to ensure that the figures and estimates are correct, we admit that the information here can’t be 100% accurate.

lonelydora: Op, there is no difference between Mobil producing and ExxonMobil. Meanwhile some of the figures above are before tax while some are after tax.
The Halliburton figure is what they call consolidated salary, there are other things added to it which makes it rise above that figure. These are Graduate trainees oooo.
NNPC/DPR/PPPRA are also consolidated salary. Many allowances are added which shoots up the pay at month end, but you don't see it on the employment letter. They hide certain things because of tax. Give me NNPC job and I will never work for any of the big 5. |
