Paul also told the Gentiles that Jesus Christ willingly gave up his life for our sins (Galatians 1:4).

Whereas, Peter repeatedly accuses the Jews of murder. One example is Acts 2:36, where Peter says, "... Jesus, whom ye crucified ...." Try to assimilate what that entails.

Therefore some of his Disciples were under threat of being summoned to court by their relatives, for not fulfilling their family obligations.

That is what the term "RACA:" YOU ARE BRUTISH, meant. That was very serious in Hebrew Culture. However, the Lord said to the effect that, whereas applying that charge to his Disciples was bad enough, the apparently less serious pejorative, "THOU FOOL!" applied to HIS GOOD DISCIPLES, who were "THE SALT OF THE EARTH," and "THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD," would mean that that person so abusing had REJECTED THE GOSPEL, and was therefore headed for HELL.

Someone taking that one statement out-of-context, in ignorance of the BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE, would ASSUME that Lord Yahshua globally condemned all users of the phrase "THOU FOOL."

There are people to whom this term has to be applied, because it is the RIGHTEOUS THING TO DO. If someone calls you a "fool," the correct thing to do is to examine the thing that you do that is supposed to be "foolish," and, if it is, CORRECT IT, and if it is not, DEFEND IT.

The GOAL here is to BENEFIT THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. Not necessarily one's personal feelings, nor image.

THE LORD SAID that those people he was addressing should expect UNRIGHTEOUS PEOPLE to REVILE THEM- that means calling them "FOOLS."

Hypocrites generally JUMP over that warning, to get to the one verse they want to "cherry-pick" to condemn someone calling THEM a "FOOL," because they ARE.
