I would like to bring up an issue I had with a nairaland member who goes by the moniker Olafiverr AKA Adebisi Samuel Olamide Oladipupo; two days ago, this guy contacted me on whatsapp for fiverr paypal withdrawal, this was supposed to be my 3rd transaction with him thus far. He had $127.01 to exchange and I agreed to send him N43,214 but sent N432,140 instead in error; I immediately noticed the mistake and asked him to send back the excess N388,926 which he said he would do once the funds reflects on his book balance. After an hour I contacted him to send the money as I’ve been debited and it should’ve reflected on his account, from that moment on it became a wild-goose chase. The lad would read my messages for a while, then switch off his phone and repeat the process again without saying a word. I called his phone no answer, complete darkness. After about 8 hours, I went through our previous chat conversations and came across where he once asked me to add an email address for withdrawal, funny enough he didn’t realize he had contacted me earlier with a different phone number asking me to add that same email address, when I asked him if he was chatting with two phones, he said that was his “brother.” I contacted his so called “brother” who was actively online on whatsapp and he said he’s currently in school and I should send him recharge card money for him to call his “brother” (olafiverr). To cut a long story short, the guy flat out denied having any knowledge of the money nor his “brother’s” whereabout.


At one point I called him with a different phone number, he picked up and when I asked for my money he said he just came out of an exam and he will send it right away; of course that didn’t happen. I went through the guy’s nairaland posts and came across where he posted a link to his fiverr profile; I now sent him a message pretending to be a customer seeking his ebook service and to my astonishment, this guy replied me twice within 5minutes! So at that point I confirmed he was intentionally ignoring my calls and messages. I sent him another message revealing my identity and informing him I would proceed with other means to obtain my money since he’s trying a pull a fast one. Sure thing within 30 minutes the lad came on whatsapp and sent me a barrage of messages narrating a bizzare story about how he was taking his exam but his friend who’s a “yahoo boy” had his phone and he was picked up by SARs and detained. He went on to say he had to stop by SARs office to pick up his phone and was just receiving my messages by 12 midnight or 11hrs later. Funny enough he even mentioned that his girlfriend had his laptop and was replying his fiverr messages, the whole thing just made me weak; I attached a screenshot of his tales by moonlight stories for reference.
I didn’t bother asking him anything about his stories and just asked him to send my money; he sent only 370K instead of 388k. He said he had to pay the SARs agents 80K but he will send the remaining 18K the following day. The next day came, I asked him for my money and he sent me two pictures of a GTB ATM where the messages on the screen read “Transaction Canceled” and “Service in progress” he now said he was unable to make cardless deposits and there were too many people inside the bank. I’m still wondering how having too many people at the bank prevents anyone from depositing money they owe someone else.


I think this writeup has been way too long, but as it stands now, this guy hasn’t paid me the remaining balance and when I confronted him today, he hurled insults at me and said I should do my worst and asked me how many Nigerians would do what he did, in other words, by sending me part of my money after several hours of hide & seek, I’m supposed to heap him with praises because no Nigerian would do the same. Like I told him, I’ve been in this biz for some time now and in the process have made valuable contacts with people who can fish him out and make his case far worse than it needs to be. I won’t ask him any more for the remaining balance but I will take his advice to heart and do my worst, but in the meantime anyone dealing with this guy be it for fiverr withdrawals or anything else should know what to expect.
