If u are being called it simply means they want more clarification and your score boundary warrant scholarship so u do not miss out hence d following reasons:

a. You scored high and being considered as a scholar and want to clarify the documents u submitted which are obscure

or

b. They want to ask if u might want PTDF overseas partnered institution such as in Brasil etc

or

c. Seek your opinion if you will accept local schools especially if u chose foreign schools in your application.

If u didn't receive any call don't panic but two things are involved :

a. You are among those who scored tremendously well in your state with no trace of of inconspicuousness and therefore will b given their choice.

b. You scored very low hence wont b considered for scholarship.

I like ur response DMainMan. Dis is what happened to my guy last year who applied Australia. He was asked to consider other options given the fact that PTDF did not want to sponsor students to Australia

The calling is normal. They called last year too and d same pattern was followed.

Just pray your name is in d final successful lists of OSS and LOCAL whether you are called or not. Quite a number of guys who werent called made d list.

No need to argue or mull over it.

Today I have to wish each and everyone of us the very big success, some of us that will be embarking on the life changing interview tomorrow I say a big congrats and some that will come after us I also said a big congrats. Do the best you could, the number this year is larger than that of last year yet the hope is very much high and some successful people are already reciting how they will fly outside the country. I pray that this life changing approach and future building block for the escalation of our individual success in life shall always be our part and in the end to God I will give glory. Panelist are human and at such stand tall above your equal and answer their questions with ease and no fear or tension its a gradual process that we will all be happy at the end

Goodluck to all candidates today...for those interviewed yesterday, please did the interviewers go by the proposal submitted online (like did they have copies of it already with them) or they went with the one provided by the interviewees? Asking because I changed my research proposal and don't want to be caught unawares. Thanks

well well....story story lemme drop my 2cents

got there yesterday quite early ..say 1:30pm though ii was slated for 3pm,met the guys slated for 9am still being interviewed. knew i was in for a long wait. The PTDF is really cool ... they were very courteous..security and all wiling to help.

Lots of folks turned up.....thoughh some didnt..at some point the rate at which people were being called in increased..e be like say dem tell the interviewers say make dem speed up o!

Like play like play na so dem call me and some other guys make we follow them go the room for interview.When we got there we met other pple there waiting too....so we took our seats..waitiing our turn to be called in.

You will b asked to arrange your docs while ur research proposal is taken from u and taken to the panel.Na so i dey there dem call me to come inside oo..

they were really friendly..though in a hurry as time was far gone...was asked to go staright to the point..asked few questions here n there n dat was it.

my main point is this......u dont really know what dey want..just do ur best...pray for favour..u may come with the best of proposals..u only need one of the panelist to pick holes in it..and u can see ur ptdf dreams fading away.

u leave the hall with only hope in ur heart because they hardly ever give anything way....u dunno if u blew them away or u were just blabbing the whole time...

They were kinda interested on your background (profession) i saw that a lot yesterday..but today is a new day...new mercies

When you say "they", do you mean the interview panel or the people collecting your documents?

Also, did they return your documents afterwards especially the Msc thesis?
