Well, I had mine yesterday under Geo-sciences and computing.
I noticed a lot of people where missing.

I took my time and introduced myself, the panel were impressed with my MSc degree result.
When I was going on with my proposal, I was interrupted and asked what was the benefit of my proposal to the oil and gas industry.
I will understand why cos my proposal is core information security.
I believe there is only one expert there whose field is software engineering and he was trying very hard to bend my proposal to his field.
With the way they reacted to my employment contract with NOUN, I believe they are really after lecturers.

I tried to look cheerful through it all. They concluded by asking me the impact of ptdf to the Nigerian economy and if I have gotten admission and where.

That was it ooo...

@xyzoke I think the usual trend is that both Msc and Phd awardees list are released together, so I'm guessing nothing will be released until august when the Phd candidates would have concluded, unless the trend has changed. Good thing is they are concluding tomorrow, so the wait shouldn't be long anymore. Just keep calm

1) Manner of approach matters a lot. As someone once put it, "Attitude is everything", some others said, "Watch your attitude. It's the first thing most people notice about you," and "the little thing that makes a big difference."

2) Also perspective matters a lot. The debate on the "rightness" or "wrongness" of sharing how the interviews went is simply a matter of perspective. A simple change in perspective can make us see the "rightness" in any perceived wrong and/or vice-versa.

It has helped and it is still helping lots of individuals; academia, researchers, artisans and the like. I wish all PTDF scholarship applicants (including myself) a good fortune and success in their expectations whether at local or oversea level; be it MSc or PhD. Thanks to everyone one that commented constructively in order to guide others selflessly.

I have followed and analyzed the tones of those that have commented in this forum for quite a while now. I decided to address a particular member of this forum who think that freedom of expression means that anyone can say anything at any time and at any place. I really want to tell whosoever that bear the username ''Ellacity'' that it's really not a good omen for you as an individual to stand out in a group or forum as Nairaland with a general negative remark. Even persons that are not members of this forum whom I allowed the privilege to read your comments can tell who you are (Proud and arrogant). If you are really a lady or girl as you insinuated in your last post; too bad. Please go and learn from Nebuchadnezzar if you think that there is no God. Your attitude and the way you present yourself here indicate one thing; ''afterall I am where I am now because of my ability and hardwork, no one is like me!''. Even if you think you are eloquent, this is not house of parliament; if think you are good in argument, this is not a law court; if you think you are a god, permit me to tell you that even God is not a careless God that uses words as He pleases even when He knows that He can never be wrong.

Why can't you address issue with grace? It is written that out of the abundance of heart, the mouth speaks. People make comments here either in support or against several ideas discussed in this forum, no one has ever been as careless in usage of words as you are (Ellacity). If this is the way you relate with your family, neighbours, and peers, it is time you desisted from such ill-attitude. No one says you should not speak against a school of thought which, in your opinion, is not acceptable. But do you have to utilize Hitler's lane in doing so. This is not a war zone. Yes, PTDF scholarship is a competition, but if you do not see it with the eye of sportsmanship, then it is weird. If the achievements of this life is for the most qualified, David would not have been King of Israel. If being ahead of others is attained through arrogance and enmity, Dangote's name would not have been in world's record book of achievers. I could go on and on to tell you that no supervisor would like to supervise a student with such attitude as yours. I am writing to tell you that thousands of persons visiting Nairaland have versions of description for the individual referred to, in this forum, as Ellacity. I am writing to tell you that the race is not for the swift, otherwise squirrel would have been the king of the forest; bread is not for the eater, Oliver Twist knows better. There is always God factor in all that we do in this planet Earth and as such, we must be careful when we interact with others. Before PTDF scholarship we are here, after PTDF scholarship we will still be here. PTDF scholarship is meant for everyone but everyone is not meant for it. WHO GETS IT The answer to this question will be futile if it breaks the code of human relationship: FRIENDSHIP AND TOLERANCE.

Finally, my sister, there are several ways to drive home your points even when you want to defend your belief without sounding as though you are the owner of the air you breath. Odysseus was made to understand that without God, man is nothing. If you do not have this understanding in you, please seek it and you will surely find it. Finding it will save you a lot of stress and grease your way through the frictions of this life towards achieving your dreams. Good name is better than rubies. Lol. I noticed the bias for lecturers. Your proposal plays a huge part As well. A friend told me about some likely objections to my research proposal because it focuses on energy storage; something not so common among Nigerian researchers. Lo and behold, they asked the same thing. They were even saying why did my school not fund me. It was just funny.
