Just the 21k fund. However, with the differential fee waiver, my annual tuition is around 4k. I only submitted my SOA as an evidence of my monthly pay not necessary for availability of funds

Ok, thanks. How did u spread it on the form, tuition fee, room and board and others ?

I have been silent reader for quite a while, and this forum has been so impressive. Kudos to those who have had successful application and still have time to reach out and those who share there experience. I have gained a lot. It high time I present my case.

BSc. Information Technology with 4.46 CGPA
MSc. Computer Science with PhD grade (above 5.0 CPGA)
Looking forward to PhD in Computer Science (Machine Learning, Networking or Bioinformatics).

Dont have good finance and looking for a waiver or scholarship. Also have realize I don't have a good home tie either cos I'm single and don't have a property, though I'm currently working as a software Developer. My sponsor will be willing to share account detail, but not funding.
Have not made any application yet cos my MSc result will not be available till October or November. I will welcome advice on which direction, I should be heading. Once again your invaluable contribution will be immensely appreciated.

Hello friends, please does anyone have the contact number of VFS. I have tried the number on the site and it keeps saying its not allocated. I actually lost my receipt of payment of fees, and tracking number but I have the scanned copy and emails. Will it be sufficient to collect my passport when they dispatch it to my address

Hello House i have being a silent follower of this thread since i put in my application that was recently approved and will like to appreciate every member for their contributions.

My intention was to go Fall 2017 entry but still yet to receive my passport that was approved on 30/08/2017 and making travel arrangements and settling in won't be easy at this time. Hence, i am considering going for winter entry but the challenge i'm having is i used Uwaterloo for VISA application but no longer want to go their after considering several factors and will prefer U of Regina where i have admission offer valid till winter 2018 but waterloo informed me i can no longer defer admission since i have deferred once (May 2017 when application was still being processed).

Please how does changing DLI works for a postgraduate student like me. Can i change DLI from waterloo to Regina before entering Canada or what do you advice i do because i want to resuming studies for Winter 2018 at Regina but used waterloo to apply for VISA but waterloo does not accept a second deferal.

Your suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Worry not, once you get your passport, you can resume January as you want. Make sure you confirm from regina that your offer is still open till then. If it is then you can use it, it doesn't matter which letter you used for admission. Just login online to your application and you will see a column for Change of DLI. Fill it and do the necessary stuff, you can do this before you get to Canada, it's better that way. At the port of entry, they just ask which school you are going to and again, name of school is usually not written on the study permit.

Peradventure u did paper, please link your app online, so you can notify them and that's all.

Regards.

I just love this Boss. You are one of a kind.
May God bless your kind heart. I look forward to meeting you...

Bosses,

Congratulations to everyone that got their approvals recently.

This is to show that delay is not denial.

For those who are in Canada already, I am sure most of our classes have started and the movie script is turning out as we "hoped" it would. The busy schedule will soon take most of your time, but I would admonish us all to at least take out time to appear here once in a while to provide answers to pertinent issues that incoming applicants might have. It is not a requirement but a plea. Any little help will be appreciated. And please stay focused; remember how hard it was to get the TRV (whether first application or more than one, it wasn't easy), so please remember that. If you must have fun, please do but remember to work hard too. In fact, PLAY HARD-WORK HARDER.

Also to the newbies or those who have one questions or the other to ask those in Canada already ( about application for admission, TRV, live in Canada etc), please, go straight to the point and ask. No matter how "stupid", you think the question is, please ask but be straight and concise about it.

To everyone still waiting for their TRV approvals, please hang in there, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. It will surely end in praises for us all.

To the bosses that have been providing answers to questions, may God bless you guys richly. You are my bosses of the century.

To those flying in this month and next month, congratulations once more (and carry my garri when coming sha).

I appreciate.

Peace

Mazi.

You have a valid point on how to go about the change in DLI. However, i noticed you didn't mention the other aspect which is the MOST important when changing DLI. So i will add it to your point.

@Legendayo
, There is a condition already on your study permit that have been approved and to change DLI, you must first meet that condition which is to 'be enrolled' on an outgoing basis at the time of your change.

So just like @nairalandnewbie pointed out, You should be enrolled in the University of regina first either by registering for your courses before you travel in jan or pay your tuition or which ever way you can be enrolled in the school. After doing this, you can now notify CIC of the change in DLI. This will meet the condition on your study permit.

You can do this before you travel or after you arrive Canada. Main thing is that at the time of your change of school, you have been registered in your desired school. Once you arrive Canada, you can then show officers at the POE your new offer letter as well as proof of enrolment.

Hope this brings clarity.

Hi guys...
I'm presently in Abeokuta. Please how do I go about notarizing my documents? Do I have to notarize every copy?

Also, concerning the affidavit of sponsorship, what's the process? Do I have to go to a court or a simple Sponsorship letter will suffice?

Aunty, please don't waste your money. If your documents have valid signatures or stamps or seal of the issuing individual/organisation, they are fine.

For the affidavit, it will be important you do one if your sponsor is a 3rd party. The high court should handle that for you.

Thanks for making out time to reply. The said sponsor is my father. Is the affidavit still necessary?

Necessary but not compulsory as immediate family member sponsorship is credible. A letter of sponsorship from him will suffice too. Also include birth certificates to show proof of relationship.

Hello Boss,

Congratulations on your TRV approval. It takes a lot of courage and determination to get through with this. I believe all other TRV applicants will be perfected.

I just have a brief question based on your admission. You mentioned applying for a PhD programme but you were given a Masters' degree in U of M due to some core courses completion in epidemiology.
Bearing in mind having a masters degree before, how were you able to relate this to the Visa Officer? Was there need to show any proof?
Also, could this have contributed to your first TRV delay? (purpose of visit)

I am sorry for the long post, just inquisitive. Also, this may help one or two people on this thread.

P.s: The Guru's can also help with contributions.
Thanks.
