I don't know how it would help in Alberta. What the registry needs is your original license from your home country. Note the original being biodata captured at frsc office.
In previous years, the letter could help in reducing cost of insuring your vehicle, but things have since changed in Alberta..Insurance companies in Alberta now count only time spent driving in Canada or the US towards reducing insurance cost.

Allied health courses such as health mgt, health care policy, health economics, public health etc may be another career pathway for IMGs

To think UK is currently massively recruiting IMGs and Canada is treating us this way. Have you considered the PLAB route?

Canada is a funny country. We need doctors especially specialists, yet the regulatory body makes it difficult for Canadians and Non-Canadians likewise to break into that profession. If one visits the emergency ward at the Alberta Children Hospital, one could wait atleast over 4hours before seeing a doctor. And sometimes, one would be attended to by an intern who may miss vitals; hence one may end up visiting more than once. A friend also had to wait over 6months to get an hemorrhoid operation done.

A bro from my uni back in naija with Canadian PR moved to the US last year...he got a residency position at an hospital in Atlanta. He also has a masters in public health from Havard though. i am not sure if the latter played any role in him getting the US residency.

I really hope the regulatory profession in charge of doctors gets their acts together.

Yes, I was using Fido and my monthly bill was around $45. I don't think you can get just sim alone without paying at least paying $10. So you might as well go for the $15 one. But ask for a month to month. That way, the month wey you no get money to pay, you go just chill without being tied to a contract.
Another thing, depends on what province you are in, and your coverage. Are you in MB?

I couldnt get a clear view of your screen but i suspect you are an engineer. for naija here, while my mates in other sector dress in suits, i dress to work as though i am going to buy provisons in the next street. somedays sef na three quarters and sneakers get me. it is one of the things i cherish on the job. i have a similar pic i took about a year ago just like yours, though na for naija sha.

Yes and no. If you no get money to pay..... You can call them and tell them you no wan do again and they cancel your line. However, the sim no go work. You no go fit receive or make calls with it. Basically dead sim. Then when you wan do, you call them and see if they can re-activate it.
Month to month is designed to help one avoid getting tied to one mobile company on a long contract.
