About 50 teachers in Lagos State failed the computer based test given to them... So, this will be a nice move, "if" only they will make it come to pass. If i've the opportunity, i'll make teachers the highest paid job, before doctors & the security forces!

what then is the use of NYSC?
don't they teach for the whole serving period?
another waste of time coz it wouldn't stop politicians from putting their people there.

it will never happen as long as you keep paying teachers peanuts.

Teacherjobs:
According to the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, education graduates would soon start a one year internship programme, aimed at improving the quality of teaching Nigeria.

Speaking in Abuja a meeting with North Central zone stakeholders, Registrar of the TRCN, Prof. Josiah Ajiboye disclosed this was part of the proposals tabled at the special Federal Executive Council meeting on education on Monday.

Ajiboye said: “Part of the things we are trying to look at in the Federal Ministry of Education, which the minister is proposing, is that we are going to have a one year internship programme for teachers. If you can have houseman ship for medical doctors, why not a one year internship programme for would-be teachers."

Utter nonsense, one year service no do? Mtcheeeeew! Beside, this story doesn't emphasize on the part of the amount each would-be intern pockets monthly. undecided undecided

what a sordid joke
YOU ARE VERY CORRECT. IF THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS THE BEST HANDS IN SCHOOLS THEN PAY NCE HOLDERS N300000 NAIRA FOR A START. IF NOT FORGET IT, IT WILL NOT ATTRACT THE BEST BRAINS.

I think COREN can also stand up to defend Engineering graduates, they are just there for nothing. They could not even fight for a professional slot in ministerial appointment, imagine lawyer for power, work and housing minister. In industry COREN scores zero, now educationist that spent just for years in university was pushing for level 9 and they are pushing for nothing except to look and frustrating the upcoming engineers in the course of fighting between NSE and COREN because of money sharing formula. What a good for nothing professional leaders watching young one working hard everyday with little rewards in term of wages and promotions. Lawyer can never allow non profession to be minister for justice, Minister for finance, Minister for health etc are professionals. Chief Bola Ige and Fashola are lawyer and have been our POWER minister with no basic knowledge of Electricity where we have COREN and Chartered Engineers in the country.

The rich always thinking of ways to keep suffering the poor. After primary, secondary and tertiary education, the rich still wants the poor to continue studying. While their children will be making money. This teachers registration council was formed by thieves, collecting and deducting money from millions of teachers. How has TRCN helped teachers welfare?
