but the terms and conditions were clearly written before you bought the phone right?

Well I can't lie about that. Actually thought there was a warranty on the phone. Didn't see it in their review though they always feature a warranty section. So with that in mind I bought it. If I had known they weren't going to have warranty? Wouldn't have bought the product

All I see here is ranting and ranting and ranting.
Honesty, nobody care about whatever phone you use. It simply your cup of tea. And how is xiaomi an unknown brand from China? Do you even use Google at all and advising someone to continue using tecno and buying from those nonsense jumia store and you still want people to believe that you are not one of their agents?
Honestly, next time try and think very well before you start typing rubbish on public forum like this

Its obvious u don't know the meaning of the word "ranting" so its pointless replying u.. but I'll do this anyway. Where in my post did I mention Xiaomi as an unknown brand? Did the Op buy a Xiaomi? Buying from nonsense Jumia store? If u don't lack English comprehension then u would have known I talked against buying unknown brands from Jumia so where in my post did I advice anyone to buy from Jumia? I shop on Jumia but not for substandard products shipped from China. Xiaomi, Hauwei, Lenovo, ZTE are popular brands and their chances of failing is low, and there are more chances of getting their parts. But when u start talking about Homton, Bontel, GT, Kiicaa, etc then u are on ur own. Its not a bad thing to take a risk but just know findin parts for these phones will be difficult. Some of these brands don't even have a physical office in China, they just basically sell online.

I bought 2 fake perfumes on Jumia....

NEVER happened on Konga and I bought a lot!

Konga has a lot of issues but Jumia is far far worse

Wasn't you told by their CC or read from the site that any device you bought outside overseas does not cover any warranty?
Re: I'm Highly Disappointed With JUMIA. by blackweaver(m): 9:30am On Dec 02, 2017
Sorry about your situation.
I'm guessing it was one of those phones shipped from overseas. Personally I try to avoid such phones; and with a brand called homtom, I will do my research : search online for specs and reviews on the phone before even looking at buying it.

That should be your view and opinion not telling people what to buy...

I once owned a phantom A, Phantom z Tecno D5 and W3...
My last Tecno was phantom z, that was when I bet never to buy a tecno again..
Guess what? When I got problem with the screen and I took it to Banex Plaza Tecno CC and I was told to pay 25k and to come back in next 3weeks.??

I left them and abandoned the phone as a toy to my son and started new phone hunt and it actually paid off when I discovered LeEco. After discovering that phone I now also search for the availability/price of the parts online until I make a decision. I used it for some years and gave it out and till today the phone is looking newer.

Now I am a proud owner of Xiaomi MI Max 2. The phone is waxing stronger day to day serving me wellllllaaa. So it is not a person like me u will advise to go for your tecno instead of the likes of xiaomi, LeEco, OnePlus, zte huawei etc.

A phone does not have cc in Nigeria doesn't mean that it is a bad product. Just advise the op to make a wise decision shekena.

Check below my screenshot

I don't have time for idiots like you. Are you not one advising op to stick to Tecno phones instead of going for a better brand?
Or because a store don't have physical office in Nigeria, then the product is substandard abi? And you are asking if the op buy xiaomi but in your comment, you fail to advise him to go for other brands like xiaomi and you want people to believe that you are part of those tecno agent?

This is just a post to rant and rave so pardon me. I recently bought a phone from Jumia during this November black Friday. A Homtom HT50. Specs were lovely and reviews both here and abroad were great. So me thinking Jumia was a great place to shop, (note I am a regular buyer from them and have advertised to friends and colleagues how good they are), saw the phone and ordered it. Immeadiately the phone came? I fell in love. Beautiful and sleek.
The problem started on the 8th day after the 7 days return policy expired. The screen went blank and crashed and refused to come on. I already knew the refund period had expired but I expected at least a warranty on the product. Low and behold, apparently the phone comes with no warranty. And they don't list that on the website. It's a Chinese phone so parts might be a bit hard to come by. To contact the seller who is a local? Let's see if there can be a swap?
Now this is where the second problem lies. Jumia has been unhelpful in resolving this. I have emailed them and called several times and the customer care keeps on looking at the problem like its the first time they are hearing about it despite my complaints being on record. They promise to look into it then promptly send me a mail telling me complaint resolved and if I'm happy with the solution.
After a week of me being the one to mostly contact them on an almost daily basis, they finally tell me since there is no warranty? They'll link me up with a service provider but I'll have to pay for the phone repair myself. I agreed based on the fact that the fee shouldn't be too high? Upon locating the service provider in Port Harcourt, I realize it's Carl care under Slots who confirm they don't service that brand of phones.
Since then? Contacting Jumia has been a problem as they don't seem to be interested and I am now stuck with a 33K phone which I've only used for 1 week roughly. The least they could have done is either link me up with the seller, swap the phone with another or at least be sure they have a legitimate service provider before selling such products.
The lesson learnt here with JUMIA is simply, though I will probably still continue to buy with them? I guess their reliability isn't worth s**t. Thank you for listening

My advice when purchasing online from Jumia go for something less than 10k to avoid heart break.

kuku kill me. I just made this same order last week, yet to receive it and I paid online. Tell me how do I sleep?

Aliexpress is very safe. Just make sure you buy from sellers with high number of orders so that you can read enough reviews before buying. I don't think Samsung phones are sold on aliexpress sha, just the accessories.

Hi, Am having the same problem with Jumia now .. I ordered for Samsung led TV in which i got it on 20/11/2017***one thing i first detected from the TV is the malfunctioning of the Av mode of the TV but i thought it was my gotv decoder, but due to nature of work, I have never watch d TV for one hour .. But right now i connected my TV with dvd.. After watching it for close to 30 mins again, alas! The picture was blurry before blank again., same issue with gotv decoder, av contacted Jumia and i was told i would be contacted in three working days time, what re d chances of exchanging anoda one for me as d TV is barely two weeks, i need a mature response

That's even if it's a genuine TV, so many tvs on Jumia are not genuine, just Google their model number to be safe.

You need not shake boss. The issue with the Homtom he talked about isn't new to many computer guru. The best Jumia can do in his case is to get it delivered to him which was done. I usuallt tell my customers who go for such phones without name in Nigeria that the only assurance i can give is return if any issue occurs within 7 days after delivery, after that the issue is completely out of Jumia's care and no warranty.

I know my customer want to buy which will count for me, but what is the essence of buying today without satisfactio which will not bring you nor those around you to me again?

As regards the Samsung, if no warranty please don't go for it, if there is, you can check my signature to contact me.
